Miria's Queadluun-Rau (Club M 1/72 scale) calls for Mr. Color #68-Monza Red (Red Madder)

Oh Rick, you're such a dirty boy! (have to say that in the original dub Minmay voice)
But you clean up real nice
Pro Modeler's Wash. Buy it, use it, love it.
Hopefully, in a couple of weeks, I'll be posting the finished product.

There's also an RVF-171 available, too.
Please note that the prices listed on these auctions are double the price they were offered for at Wonderfest.

Slowly taking shape
Just a reminder to everyone: I'd say about 80% of Japan is doing business as usual now. If you ever wanted to come and visit, please do! Kansai area and south, plus Hokkaido would still love to have tourists come.

It's just a random thought, but did any banks in Japan ever make any? They would be rather collectible if any were ever issued.
If you have "Valkyries" by Hidetaka Tenjin, on page 46 is the artwork for the GE Visa Card (VF-1S, Roy), and page 48 has the GE JCB Card (VF-1J, Hikaru).

Felt the shaking for about 45 seconds around 2:45 today, plus several aftershocks. Other than that, Sapporo seems to be suffering no apparent damage.

One of the nice things about living in Japan is that I picked up my copy yesterday.
It has all the rest of the Hasegawa box art not featured in Valkyries 1, the Wave Destroid art, the Bandai Macross Frontier box art, couple of pieces from Macross Chronicle and Macross Ace, plus DVD and video game inserts.
Equally as cool as #1.

Scans and all other goodies are up at Hobby Search now.

impressive work!! show us more pics please!
Sorry, that's about all I have of that kit. If you click on a picture, that will take you to where I've got photos of the rest of my work, though.

I broke my own rule about not building a newer kit before I get through the old ones. However, this one is just too pretty to sit on the shelf for the next 2 years.
This kit goes together like a dream. I'm even having to forcibly separate parts when I'm just test fitting, it's fitting together so well.

WOW... these yf-19 kits blew my mind!
The Battroids? That's a conversion kit for the Hasegawa YF-19. Sold for around ¥15,000, I'm seeing them on Yahoo Japan auctions for double that as a starting bid.

Some stuff is already making its way to auction, at double the list price.

Here we go! 1/72 VF-1S Strike, by Hasegawa. Also includes the weapons set.
I think the time is coming to buy a new camera, but I just can't justify the expense for one just to take pics of my models.

I am sure I asked this question before but cannot find the old thread. I would like to make sure I am doing things right: When I apply decals with Mr. Mark Setter, the solution softens the film and some wrinkles appear, should I try to flaten the decal with a cotton swab or just leave it alone and it will all magically conform when dry?
I remember last time I used it I had quite a hard time trying to keep the decals flat on the model after using Mr. Mark Setter, and I think I heard somewhere it was all unnecessary.
I also read somewhere that Bandai decals don't really need any of this, but frankly speaking, there are these verniers on my VF-25 right under a decal and I cannot imagine how it will look without some of the solution to soften and stick the decal.
Yep, leave it alone. I usually let mine sit overnight before fiddling with them again. If you mess with them while they're still damp, you WILL tear them!

I myself am not selling it, just ran across the auction. And seeing as how the VF-4 is a pretty hot commodity...

Just found the perfect companion piece for a 1/100 scale Monster.

The list here contains macross items for the coming Wonder fesstival 2011-02-07 http://www.ne.jp/asahi/trudge/walk/blog/WF2011WinterMacrossDealerListRev2.xls
Is there another link available where I don't have to download an Exell Document onto my computer to view it?

I think you need a little "Hellfire" to keep you honest
Pretty much exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!!
Highly doubt I'll be able to put little blue notations on them, though......

So, right now I'm working on a Hasegawa Strike Valk, with the weapons set. Anybody know of a good on-line source to find a picture of the back of a missile? I did an image search for a Sidewinder, and found lots of front, side, and in-flight shots, but nothing from the rear. What I'm mainly interested in is, what does the ass-end of an unfired missile look like? I've always painted it black, but I'm thinking now that that doesn't make much sense. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.
Like right here. I built this kit when it first came out. Should I have done the back of the RMS-1's in black, or just left them?
-
Since everyone seems to be venting off-track now, I'll chip in.
I'm a strictly Mr. Color man, myself. The one exception being the Tamiya Gunmetal enamel. And I have never used any type of clear coat.
So there.....
-
Already got people trying to sell them on Yahoo Japan Auctions.

I received my Regult for Xmas, it's really a nice kit but I have a problem because the instrucctions are only in japanese and I don't know wich colors I should use for the painting. I'll be very thankful If someone could translate them for me or maybe suggest me the right colors for it.
The scanned instruccion could be found here:
From left to right
"Soft Gray" neutral gray 90% (kanji I can't read)white 10%
"Pearl White" white green 80% gull gray 20%
"Metal Blue" blue 50% medium blue 50%

I'd just like to chime in that Mandarake has an English web-shop, with international shipping.
Breaking my rule
in Model kits
Posted
Yeah, I broke my own rule about not building a new kit before I finish my old ones, but this was just too pretty to sit boxed up for 2 years or so.
I also have the 1/48 scale VF-1S, but I'm afraid that one will have to wait a bit.
