  1. Actually, there's been no news items and press of any merger or acquisition but neither of bankruptcy. As nothing's been officially announced in any shape or form, we can only speculate. But considering the American version of Yamato's website is still up and running, listing all the products that are licensed and imported from outside Japan that will continue to be sold under their former Yamato branding (the North American Yamato USA (f.k.a. Toycom, Inc.) office is said to be unaffected by despite their Tokyo headquarters changes); that Arcadia don't seem to have had any copyright issues (franchise name and merchandising); that at least the staff dedicated to the Macross series have continued with Arcadia; and that the information I got from my sources isn't the same information you got, I'm still not sure they went to bankruptcy.
  2. Tick tock, tick tock...
  3. Unfortunately, not very likely at the moment.
  4. I'd never do that to Mr-K!
  5. Why are so many people sure Yamato went bankrupt and not simply merged with another company and/or changed its name?

  7. Wrong. The "bubble" canopy isn't a creative license. It's not like an act of faith, things aren't what you believe they should be. Shoji Kawamori -who as the actual designer of the VF-1s is more important than you and me- revised his SDF-M designs for the DYRL? film and guess what, he came up with the "bubble" canopy among other things. I don't think it's safe to say these snapshots are just "current renditions":
  8. The more I look at it the more I like it!
  9. Not too far away from the pics we all want to see. Mr-K is takink good care of everything.
  10. Mmmm, I don't understand. It's $153.98 at HLJ vs $141.69 at NY, obviously not including shipping. Did I miss anything? http://www.hlj.com/product/aca82018 http://www.nippon-yasan.com/lang-en/macross/5554-1-60-vf-1s-roy-focker-special-movie-ver.html

  16. Guys, we need more Macross fans, it's time to come out of the closet and proselytize!
  17. A Ghost X-9 toy wouldn't be a so basic if it included the ventral high-maneuverability missile launcher, super parts and the orbital booster. I guess it could end up being fairly expensive.
  18. Exactly. Sometimes people are hard to please...
  19. Great job, thanks for sharing it!
  20. Wait, are we still talking about the YF-19? On the other hand, it's not exactly the materials what makes the difference.
  21. Yeah, the fact you're not sure how they can make it doesn't mean they can't or that it's a big mistake. I'm pretty sure they offer the gimmick because they can make it so let's hope for the best.
  22. No matter how bad one may think the 1/60 YF-19 and YF-21 are, the 1/72 ones are much worse IMO
  23. Yep, it's entirely up to you
  24. I believe you don't have a Yamato VF-19, have you?
