Ya so? Even though story telling, character development etc is important, part of anime's appeal is its appearance/presentation etc. If it wasn't we might as well watch animated stick figures. Of course the TV series has more substance. But how much of that substance is quality?

Maybe all hell will break loose soon. Isn't Anime Expo this weekend?

And I've played/owned them all save M3. And I STRONGLY prefer VF-X2. The fighter stages had some weird flight physics sometimes, but the gameplay was still pretty solid... not mention that the story kicked mucho ass-o. That game is overrated if you ask me. The story is good though. The gameplay was terrible(fighter mode specifically) and graphics (for its time) were subpar. The only area its better than the PS2 game is in the variety of valks you can play as. There's just too many VF-1s in the PS2 game.

In a world of crappy of Macross games, the PS2 game is the best of the 3-D bunch. I've played/owned them all. Now its not the best game ever but considering most Macross games(and anime games in general) are garbage this one is pretty good. But it is short, the graphics could be better and GERWALK kinda blows. oh well back to Samurai Warriors..

Ah don't even bother hunting this game down. It's horrible. Cool intro and that's about it. I had the boxed version, sold it off on ebay a few years ago. Get the PS2 Macross game if you can.

DYRL. The TV series hasn't aged well at all. Where as the movie still looks good.

Ya I was just thinking we need another 10 page thread on the love/hate of Macross 7. For the most part, I don't like it very much. That's all I'll say on this matter lol

guh?! Do I even want to know what this is about? lol I do I have enough to bitch about with NASCAR...but yet I have the WWE to bitch about too.. WWE has been beyond awful lately. The Eugene storyline on RAW has to go. And big deal Lita is having Kane's baby yawn.... and Smackdown..I still don't watch it much even with RVD on it.

The bundled movie is the Street Fighter 2 Animated movie which was only released edited and dubbed in the US. Not the Alpha movie, SF2V series or any others...just the original SF2 movie. As for those pads...for those interested, they do have a website Streetfighter Controller If they have better D-pads than the Ascii ones (which were great, just apparantly not able to stand up well)...I guess it'd be a good investment.[ I don't think its the actual SF 2 anime movie. Taken from NCSX.coms info It says its interactive? What is it like Dragons Lair? lol

Wow, that looks awesome. Great work.

You can pilot the VF-4, the Super Ostrich and the Elint Seeker. The last two really suck to play as. The VF-4... eh its ok.

No I doubt that. Why not release the book in English then? There were no HG Macross PM books back in the day...I know.. I'm from "back in the day" lol I've had my copy since 1985. I sold off my other copy that I had since 1994. Neither of them had that card. That post card looks too new. also the original book was printed in Japan. Why would you send the post card back to CA? And it wasn't printed in 1987 like that post card implies.

Ya 60.00 seems to be the going rate for .10 piece of rubber/plastic lol

The Macross game is a PS2 game only and its an import. Meaning it won't work on a US system without some kind of mod. The game itself is far more enjoyable than VF-X2 ever was. The controls are easy and the menus for the game are in English.

Wow my scroll mouse is getting a good workout in this thread... Linking Macross with religion? = fanboys with too much time on their hands and no girlfriend Its just a cartoon folks.
-
Is that post card attached? I owned 2 original Macross PM books for many years and they never had any post card like that.

This is how you do the move: UP, UP, DOWN, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT, B, A

Ya there's hardly any good Cowboy Bebop merchandise. The Bandai figures were junk. Both Spike dolls from Medicom were crap. I own the first and its collecting dust. He looks like a deranged clown. The Kaiyodo Spike figure was crap. My wife has the Ein stufed animal, Ed & Ein Plush doll and the vinyl Ein figure. Those are just in the "Eh" category to me. These new figures look alright. The pose for Julia is kind of out of character I think. Very true. The only non-mech series that I can think of that seems to have alot of figures made for it is Berserk. I own 13 myself.. not including the minifigures..Those figures don't exactly sell by the truck load but they sell enough and they are a tad expensive. I remember when Bandai started releasing character figures from Gundam 0079..they ended up in the clearance bin a TRU for 2.00

eh whatever man, save your diatribe. This comes up every f'n time. I own a region free player and owned the first R2 DVD of Macross Zero. I stopped buying those since I don't think they were worth 50.00 a pop. I do own other R2 Macross DVDs though. I would consider buying an R2 Macross Zero set(if it ever came out) like the Macross Plus sets that came out Downloads/fansubs are bootlegs too btw. I'm not 100 percent sure about this but when you buy a DVD, aren't you just supporting the store you bought it from, not the company that made/produced etc. it? Meaning that BigWest, Studio Nue etc have already made their money before the DVD even made it to the store.

As Zero Draws to a Close.....a Question or 10.
bandit29 replied to Mechamaniac's topic in Movies and TV Series
I can't see all the loose ends in Macross Zero being wrapped up in 30 minutes or so... Sure they could rush it altogether but that would kinda suck. Maybe the last episode will be 45 minutes to an hour? Another episode? -
They are only toys. jeez. I think the VF-0 is coming in July. such babys around here

If the 1/60 was stable in Battroid mode with the armor on, I'd say "no" to a non- transforming posable figure. But since the Battroid mode of the 1/60 is as floppy as a wet noodle, I'd have to say "yes". I like the way my 1/60 looks with the armor but it feels like its going to fall over. An ABS/PVC super detailed figure would be more stable than the current incarnation.
