  1. Obviously.

It's actually an in joke. We've been asking each other if we've done post touch ups for a while now...

Yea I know but what if he managed to get Scarlet Johansson or Megan Fox in a picture shoot playing with Valkyries in Lingerie: would you demand pictures, video or explanation of why you weren't invited?

These pics are making me want to go into debt for a Valkyrie.

  2. Then I'm assuming you found anguishing Luca as well :)

Cool. That's some pretty nice praise for something that took me about 30 seconds to draw... But I guess it must be because of all the time I spent looking at the original Picasso that this thing just kind of came easily to me :)

Personally, I am most proud of the Hippo Cow. Picasso had a spanish bull where I have place the hippo cow.

But the real test is this:

    Fine Grace :)

I'm going to guess and say she's either the arm holding the earring, the squiggly head at the bottom by Sheryl or the blue hair piece in the middle of the picture.

  3. Well technicaly I forgot Ranka's carrot too :) And notice how Sheryl is alone with her music, while Ranka has Alto's VF-25 flying just above looking out for her. It's all symbolism. Sheryl without her captain's hat and alone is a parable for unrequited love, a love that goes unanswered. The lack of a captain's hat means she's not in charge, despite her black boots and S&M outfit - she would like to be - but she's not got her captain's hat, and therefore - she is not really in control, and thus is alone and without her "slave" Alto. Meanwhile, Ranka, even without her carrot, is all smiley and happy because she has Alto protecting her. Alto does it because he loves her.

See - my art has deep metaphorical symbolism, not like this shoddy stuff you've been accustomed to looking at for the last few pages.

Edit: Here's my Macross Frontier: Picasso. It is based on Picasso's Guernica, albeit using Macross Frontier characters. Condolenses to Gubaba if he actually manages to spot Nanase :)

    2vmc8c6.jpg

Some of the best art yet.

I found nanase. it's like looking at one of the 3d puzzles where you have to let your eyes go out of focus. and slowly pull the image away from your face

  4. well its more so i wish to know what exactly is ok and not ok.

since everyone is different of what they find acceptable and not acceptable.

I know hentai is off limits. i dont have a desire to look at it anyway.

and no not really most thoughts of Frontier have been purged due to the fact usually after i finish a series I start another one(currently watching Hokuto no Ken).

But you know what I'll figure it out eventually.

    Back on topic:

As much as i don't really like M7 here's some art.

  5. Mode Note

Honestly, Danbooru has practically all the Macross NSFW pics out there. And if that's not enough for you, go to /r/ on 4chan and request all your Macross porn. It ain't that hard. And if that's still not enough for you, search for "Macross" and filter by "Hentai" on Tokyo Toshokan for even more Macross porn. And if that's still not enough, there's a freakin Macross porn flick out there for all you folks to wank to. You don't need to post it all here cuz it ain't hard to find if you look. And to echo Roy, use some common sense before posting.

Okay I'm confused. i was asleep when all this stuff went down.

So if we post a link that says "NSFW" and it leads to XXX type material its not ok?

But if one post a link that says "NFSW" and it lead to tasteful* art or video its ok?

*like girl using hand/ arm as bra or shadows in the correct places that gives the impression of nudity.

  6. No more Pirate of the Caribbean movies. i have yet to watch the others.

Highlander: Just let it die Adrian Paul sucks as an actor he always has a Scottish accent no matter the role. that and his stage combat is garbage.

No more wolverine movies unless they do them by the books!!!

Star wars ! But if he does something other than prequels and does a story about what happens after the rebels win or luke reestablishing the jedi temple then maybe i 'll watch. But no Kotor!! I hated the games.

Dragon Ball Evolution 2?! Wasn't it a huge bomb here in North America? I guess this one will be a...spirit bomb. :p

    Sorry, I couldn't resist. ^_^

Yea. he'll take 2hrs 30 min to gather the energy then miss.

movie 3 he goes super sayian all b/c his shirt got ripped.

    Macross 7 - anything

I second. unless it gets good writing.

[in the creepy title screen voice] Resident Evil 4...

    ...Afterlife?

    NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

They're going to screw up Wesker!!! This Link and link show that the movies can't handle or contain his awesomeness.

  7. All things considered, the redux is done.

It's not GREAT, but it gets the point across.

Unfortunately, a codec I have is interfering with Movie Maker compiling the video.

And, yes, I did laze out and use the audio for the first part. I used the drumbeat+fighter pass sound from the Ace Combat 6 trailer, and filled the rest with "The Liberation of Gracemeria". If only I knew what was causing the damned problem.

"Where ever you go.. there you are"

    Figure it out?

the fighter pass may be messing it up.

    also silence is golden.

  8. Cross Dresser or not where ever those missing hands are it is likely at a very gay like place.

    15zf9g9.jpg

that was the first thing i saw in picture ;the first question that came to me was what are they doing?

And yes the alternative life style alto is getting annoying. b/c it's usually the same theme in the picture of alto in a dress/ kimono/school girl uniform etc.

    Edit:

I wish this wasn't my 100th post though.

  9. "Life... Is short....

    Love... Is forever..."

10 points to the person who can tell me what movie trailer that's from.

Cool. Now, I only wish I had an MP3 of your voice over to add to the mix I'm making in Audacity to add to the video... And that the stupid MP4 I downloaded it as didn't have such horrible JPEG artefacts... ^_^

I'll consider it a quickie. Then, I won't be so bothered with myself about quality.

    Clockwork Orange?

can you seperate the BGM from his voice?

Simply put you cant break the sound down/ up into individual layers.

  10. I'm pretty sure at least some of that was tongue in cheek. At least... I hope it was. :)

He made a lot of good points, too, about culture being corrupted since Space War I times into just a commercial enterprise... although I would have put the date that started right back to the concerts held in post-apocalyptic Earth, under Kaifun's management.

Also, the briefer way of saying what you were saying is "TL;DR".

i see what he saying about culture becoming mainstream and becoming a weapon but a lot of the information was unnecessary to me or took too long to make a point. and some of it is just over my head.

  11. No, not really.

I meant the technique. Taking this video's content and combining it with the style of music used in BSG. Take it from soft and peaceful in the beginning to fast and suspenseful towards the end, to reflect the level of action between them.

Almost like the trailer for Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War. It starts out with the beginning of "The Unsung War" as the background, and transitions the action to match the song. Then, the music stops completely for a line of dialogue, followed by a more actiony sequence highlighted by "First Flight". Finally, the story of Razgriz is told by Genette with "Blurry" playing in the background and peaceful bits of game cutscenes show.

It's all about musical transition. This video, actually, shows a form of this. While it only uses one song, it uses the song's emotion in different ways as it progresses. It goes from soft, peaceful, and wordless with the like scenes, and then it moves to the lyrics and the action steps up, following the words. It adds a helpless feeling to the viewer's experience, since the use of such a soft song with such action brings to mind tragedy. Tragic, because there is no fighting spirit, a state of mind that comes from victory.

gotcha. thing is you can easily frak it up by using the wrong songs.

hint: do not use any song that was used in a P.O.S. Naruto/ DBZ AMV.

    Or input the Konami code.

    EDIT:

Got a link to the trailer your talking about?

  12. After a while, yeah. Not immediately.

I'm not sure I get your point. Isn't this whole thread kind of about Basara? If he'd written an off-topic screed about, I dunno, the implication of conscious versus unconscious memory in Marcel Proust's A la recherche du temps perdu, I could understand complaining about it. But it was on-topic and added to the conversation.

It SOUNDS like you're saying that we should all be brief when we're talking about a subject you're not interested in, but I must be wrong about that, because that would be ridiculous. :)

well its more how the character was put up on a pedestal. border line of saying he's greatest character ever in the macross universe and has absolutely no faults what so ever.

But mainly its me. I'm not a big talker so when i do talk i usually get straight to the point.

    Dang you A.D.D.!

  13. Yes, but Gamlin is actually FRIGHTENED by rock music...

But he did like mylene's songs. if i remember right.

    Whoa there, Pardner. A VFTF1 who isn't long-winded isn't VFTF1 at all.

(And actually, I think that's among his SHORTER posts...)

I can believe it. it just the majority of the post was about basara. And i really don't like basara or most of his singing.
