1. anything is worth ANY amount...to the person willing to pay. it is hard to put concrete value on things not readily available because they are either not for sale in the US, or antiques. the general lee signed by bo and luke duke, to me, would be worth a great deal. maybe you hate the duke boys, maybe youve never seen the show and you say, its a butt ugly orange charger with an arguabley racist flag on it, it isnt worth anything. 2. is this a question or a statement. yes, the price point in the US is largely due to HG owning copyright on these items in the US (by hook or by crook) and not allowing them to be sold legally here.

no...i said in JAPAN, they arent that expensive, if you're in Japan, you can go down to toysrus and get a 1/48 under 100 bucks, which is a good price, relatively. when you consider what macrossworlders are paying for a low viz, about 135, the japan price is great. if you are talking about charging cost of materials for something, then obviously, you need a swift dose of reality, no'gawn'happen.

invision can indeed do all the things that were mentioned, the board i was talking about is powered by invision.

i understand why people dont like the idea and think it could be easily abused, but it would be so cool if there were someone to maintain the system so that one liners didnt get rewarded, abombz, you should take a look at point blank forums, especially if you are into other anime besides macross. you will see when you do that this can be a neat thing.

"stock" this... There's beauty in keeping things stock, hell...it'd be a damn crime If I customized my vintage 1/55 Millia VF-1J just to make it "unique". It's perfect as is. ugh, obviously dude, not everyone has a vintage valk collection, making it unique. there are tons of camaros on the road, but if you had a 68' you'd have something that not everyone can go out and get... as for my collection, it is currently "on loan" , but can be viewed, at least in part, on kid-k's website, the missing parts, which is the majority of it, either havent been customized yet, or were on display at this and last year's cons.

meh, as tony and jason have said, the 1/55 is alive and well i for one am sick of anyone drooling over a (insert scale here) stock valk i'm declaring this now, if all you have is stock valks, you dont have a collection, you have "his" collection. congratulations, you paid all that money for something anyone can get and you have nothing to show for it because you have nothing unique, wahoo.

guys adn girls, the whole rank thing is getting lost somehow in the translation ranks can be given and taken away by mods, not for post counts, but for post content. if you are spamming the board, they shift your post count back to zero, or they bust you to private i agree, and maybe i didnt say it before, but this is how i feel, that rewards shouldnt be given to spammers, as in them getting a higher rank, with a little modding, this concept can work for macrossworld. the mods at point blank are extremely active on the forums, so they know who is screwing around, and act accordingly. to combat the workload, there are more mods than usual, and they gather in thta irc room i mentioned in a previous post...dont get lost by the fact that there is another forum where people abuse the ranking system, it doesnt have to be like that.

i like the idea of being able to choose your faction we could even have five factions unspacy, meltran, zentran, and the two factions from zero

its not REALLY ranks like that though, in this case, its a belt, i guess if translated to macross, it would end up being rank, but i think it would still be cool.

for post count, they use a karate type belt system no posts = white million posts = black 10th dan and everything in between we could do that with rank insignias, we could either choose zentran, meltran, or unspacy ranking systems (a-la gundam.com) and for custom member titles, they can put what they want i took a screenshot, but i dont have photoshop on this machine and its 1.3 MB bmp file check it out here

point blank forums uses invision board, and they haev a hella cool way of doing this: they have a generic belt system for post count rewards, AND custom member titles...if we could get that going here, it would be the answer to both sides

first of all let's face it, halle berry isnt exactly black, now if they made latifah the next catwoman, or that woman from how stella got her groove back, that would be hiring someone ethnic... I know that mulattos are classified as black in certain circles, but i think full blooded people might have something to say about it. as a "halfie" myself, i know that full blooded hispanics (in my case i', half ecuadorian, half german) would have a problem with me being a cultural spokesperson, look at christina aguillerra, she was universally panned when she first hit the scene by almost all the hispanic community. and j-lo, she might as well not be puerto rican, she cant even speak spanish! anyways...sorry if i offended anyone
