  1. How is the new Voltron Cartoon doing?

I mean both of them appeared roughly the same period, and I think right now that voltron is trying to revive it's franchise (even without trying to rely on the Live Action)

I think they are seriously lazy as all they think of are ova's and ost's... from a series long long ago.

Are they actually doing anything right now?

  2. What is the average lifespan of a Zentradi?

This is because from the time the Protoculture Stellar Republic to the Crass of ASS-1 is around 500,000 years right? And then 25,000 years later they become extinct.... so for 475,000 years the Zentradi was fighting with the Supervision Army? The factories they used must be self sustaining then?

  3. We could safely assume that the she got out much later after the attact and the focus was on her instead of the rest of the crew... The bridge Crew Survive, even one of the bridge bunnies (Kim Kabirov) became a General

Does the Supervision Army figure in any of the sequel projects?

Hmmmm... nothing I could recall in the movies and OVA. Although there is a "New" Supervision Army that was headed by the Protodeviln in Macross 7... It has 49 episodes, the 2 encore episodes, the fleet of the strongest women, the macross 7 movie and the D7 OVA Series

My first thought was a Feios Valkyrie.

If it does have a fighter mode somebody reverse engineered the Feios Valkyrie much like the the Zentradi Glaug design was taken from Zentradi rebels.

Makes me wonder if the Final Weapon has been reversed engineered. It is a combiner made up of three pieces.

This one kinda reminds me of the FBz-99G Saubergeran being piloted by Gavil (Macross 7)

  5. Anyway, the changes are boring, such as Minmei singing (a different song?) at Max and Miriya's wedding.

Well, singing stage fright on every occassion doesn't seem to be appropriate... I think she also sang that after macross was sent back into space after the ontario incident... as opposed to My Beautful place :)

  6. You know what I find weird about this, it's the the show's current writers and handlers are too focused on their forum instead of just writing and drawing... I mean, forums are mainly used for feedbacks when it comes to this... but I dunno, it's like they really have nothing to do but check their forum all day...

  7. I'm saying this out of frustration because even where I'm from this doesn't happen...

Why do they keep selling the same story over and over and over and over???

A new DVD release? Of a series that was aired in 1985? Come on???

It's understandable if it's a new format... I mean Mobile Suit Gundam has a Blue Ray release.

But how many DVD versions does this have already?

  8. If there is anything I couldn't get, is that if they think RT is superior to any Macross Series (including the original), why cause a roadblock of Macross in the U.S.. I mean if I think my product is superior, I would even let the competition in and see them get beaten again and again...

Since I haven't seen RT, I wanted to ask something.

Did the original animators get credited (as in listed) in the opening and closing credits of RT?

For Me, it's still weird to trademark something you didn't create, and take credit for designs that weren't yours in the first place...

    Oh well...

  9. I don't consider being a robotech fan back in the day as unfortunate. I enjoyed it thoroughly. Coming from the Philippines I knew it was watered down. They altered every anime (Voltron, BotP, Tranzor/Mazinger Z) so I was aware of it even while watching it back then. But I DO think that insisting on being an RT fan today makes no sense whatsoever.

Really, Where did you watch Robotech here? I remember macross when I was in the 2nd Grade, possibly 83 or 84 on RPN-9.

  10. The attempts at making a live-action version of this saga reminds me much of that possibly shelved/aborted try at creating a live-action version of Evangelion (at Evageeks.org, we refer to this project as "LAEM").

*shakes head* Having seen many to-film adaptations over the years, and most of them didn't do well, there will be no surprises for me if this adaptation falls flat on its face because of the focus towards profits over artistic integrity while conveniently ignoring pleas from knowledgeable fans.

    -----------

OBTW, do the HG-carpetbaggers still have any jurisdiction over the Philippines? If so, we're out of luck just like the rest of the world, because some viewers are clamoring for a SDF revival over at a local anime channel, but I told them that it's highly improbable (including the rest of the saga, especially Frontier) due to the nasty legal entanglements.

Not sure about that... I did see some yamato toys being sold at one of the toy shops (Not sure if it's in Toy Kingdom). Besides I don't think we are profitable market for them here. I did make a search at http://trademarks.ipophil.gov.ph/tmsearch/ ... Didn't find anything though

  11. I noticed that the position of the VF-171 Gun Pod is still vague... Some say it is stored the same way as a VF-17 Stores its Gun Pod... But Aren't the legs too thin for that. Also I saw that the VF-171EX That alto used is placed in the Ventral Fuselage... if that is the Correct Position, does that mean that not all VF-171 Nightmare Plus Valkyries don't carry gunpods?
