To some extent, that's what some have concluded. while most of us talk about the mecha and designs, it was quite interesting to have someone who wasn't just guessing mention something about the characters.

What surprised me about the whole fiasco with that was that they seemed to want to debate the issue with no direction. It seemed more like a debate started simply to start a fight, even with the hard facts their to grab. It's probably why the thread got put down, and the lap dog got himself banned as well, instead of getting a free ride to talk crap.

Harmony Gold, should the LAM fail miserably, will simply start work again on Shadow Rising. I know there was Tommy's treatment, and more than just that, that was written. If they have the story ironed out, they'll probably start working on script and will move right into finishing Shadow Rising. If the LAM fails, as it still could very well do, they're gonna need a backup stream of news to counter-weight the negativity they're gonna get hurled at them. Personally, I'll just be here waiting for more Macross.

This is where the combination of being broke (at the moment) and being a Robotech fan come into harmoneous balance.

Right now, I have no money, I can't afford to spend money on things such as Robotech as much right now. H.G. announcing a project takes at least four years to do anything at best. If H.G./Robotech announces production of a project in 2007 , I have untill 2011 to really worry about having money to spend on said project. Were in 2009, I have two more years to even consider consideration of purchasing a prodcut!!! Life is goooooooooooooood!!

All it seems is that HG is not gonna change any of the status regarding Macross, and right or wrong, they are really only hurting the fans of Robotech and Macross. They are trying so hard to relinquish the chains they're under of Macross, yet, refuse to let any of it go. They want to create Macross free shows, but the fact is, without it, they have no story. They won't grow at all until they give up Macross completely. What's sad is that they'll still find a way to stick it to Macross fans, as well as their own fans. It's really too bad.

Jason, if you'll remember. I did offer H.G. total I.P. rights on a spin-off show based on the happenings of one "Commander "Wham" Hammer" and his "Dacshund" squadron. It was based after the Invid had left and wouldnt have mentioned "Macross" or "Macross thingies" at all!! All it wouldve cost them was a customized Alpha-Beta/McRibb combo (The Alpha-Beta; white with blue racing stripes, the McRibb, unpainted of course). They refused to budge of the omission of the McRibb part, kinda pathetic, dontcha' think?

So that's why my relationships never last! ....

Hmmm...y'know, at first, I just thought Wanzerfan was ill-informed (and argumentative about it), but his stream of misinformation was gotten SO ridiculous that I'm pretty sure he's deliberately trolling. A quick Google search indicates that Soji Yoshikawa wrote the movie, and it's well-known that Doc Smith died in the mid-sixties. Hell, Wanzerfan says he has the books...doesn't it say that in the "About the Author" section?

No one could be stupid enough to believe that the Japanese government forbade any likeness of Hikaru Ichijo to made after his voice actor died, especially since there are multiple new images of Hikaru on DVD boxes, magazines, and a pachinko game, but Wanzerfan did assert that as fact.

devlin stone pops up and fights word of blake forming the republic around terra. victor married isis and had some kids. victor found out he had a son with omi. yvonne and tancreds kid harrison runs the fed coms until he is accidentally killed by his messed up son jacob. can't remember who runs the other houses. the clans got mixed up a bit as well.

then something happens to alot of the hpgs bringing the dark age about.

Only problem with that is (if memory recollects correctly) there was a novell after Klickytech happened that has Omi assasinated before Omi had any children (kinda hard to hide the Co-ordinators "in plain sight" daughters pregnancy). .

What is the current state of the Inner Sphere since the war against the Clans? I suspect that the Draconis Combine is screwed over, but what about the Federated Commonwealth and the other Stellar Balkan states?

What year would you say current is? Klickytech and its storyline has created a "rubber banding" effect with writers trying to make up the difference (and sence) .

multiple medium lasers, plus skillful use of line of sight blocking terrain, is the way to go.

I love the medium laser, but you still need to balance out a weapons load to have short and long reaches. Medium lasers wont do much good if you have to make a stretch of open terrain to make it into cover. Sometimes cover isnt as handy as us Inner Sphere jocks like it to be.

It's a wonder someone hasn't started musing over wether or not the saki is warm or cold, what type it is, wether the creases he gets in his pants from sitting down with get him into trouble when he goes on parade or if his saki breath will fog up the gun sight in battle

what i mean is that many long time fans of Battletech/Mechwarrior will be disappointed because one of the 'unseen' mech will be taken out of the game due to problems with the copyright. I understand that they want to please the older fans by putting the Warhammer in Mechwarrior 5, but the situation they're in, they'll run into a problem with HG.

If a person is really pressed for a real Warhammer in the game , fret not. Theres always someone who is making mods to insert in games. I got a mod for the Warhammer and a few other mech and guns to be used in Mechwarrior 4. It'll happen, just not on the frontside.

I caught most of this one when the network formerly known as Internatonal Channel aired it. It's some nice work. One thing about Captain Tyler, just like The Slayers' Gourry, is that man is a tactical genius. Do not match wits against Tyler, because you will lose. Tyler's irresponsibe, not stupid.

If they do it in regards to the original series ( not 2040) it stands a better chance. I couldnt stand the boomers in 2040 at all. I prefer the originals "Blade Runner" meets "Terminator" feel.

I don't think anyone has answered this yet, but I BELIEVE it is so they can more easily ensure and detect thin or flawed areas in the paint application.

The main consideration is cost. If a car has say twelve color options there would have to have a matching primer color for every color offered, that gets more expensive than just having one or two, it also would add a step in the production line on the side of priming. Most car companies use at least three coats of body color over the primer coat, thats more than enough to make the color "true" no matter the shade of primer. Another point is that some colors of primer make it easier to detect flaws in the body than others, this makes quality controll better (when I worked in a body shop, I couldve ordered tons of pigmented primers, my painters wanted to use a shade of grey because they could see flaws in the bodywork better. My painters could spend up to two days work painting a car and they didnt want to do that twice because of a flaw in a bodymans bodywork.). The final consideration is that the manufacturer isnt as concerned on the color of chipped paint, they dont warranty those sort of "defects". They sell touch up paint for that reason.

I wouldnt say that. If the Mechwarrior games content and gameplay is excellent, it will be a blast to play. As far as the Warhammer goes, it can still make an appearance, it would have to be in the guise of the "Project Phoenix" Warhammer though (albeit a less appealing look).

Um. We have a Megahouse ride armor line that has spontaneously ended without fanfare, the Beagle line which puttered out after two releases and left its fans blueballed, we have the CM's line which seems to survive on low production overhead, re-used packaging and high prices, and a line of Toynami Alphas and Betas which, despite being marketed as "limited availability" items, can still be readily found - albeit horrifically broken most of the time.

I'm not exactly seeing the unquestionable nature of that success...

I'm familiar with Toynami Alphas breaking. Have there really been Beta's breaking as well?

Robotech: Macross Saga is f-ing great. What is Robotech: MS really about? You think its a story about a fighter pilot in a love triangle with two girls? Its really a story about fighter pilot and his struggle with his own homosexuality. And the real ending of the series is when Rick and Breetai fight the Zentradi at the end of Episode 27. Because Rick has passed over into the gay way. They are this gay fighting f-ing force and they are beating the Zentradi. The gays are beating the Zentradi alright. Then its over and the f-ing land. And Breetai been trying to get Rick Hunter the whole time. Finally he has got him. And what are the last f-ing lines they have together? There all hugging and kissing and happy with each other. And Breetai comes up to Rick and says "Microian you can ride my tail anytime!" And what does Rick say?! "No, You can ride mine!"

The Jade Phoenix Trilogy follows the fortunes of a group of new Jade Falcon mechwarriors and the other 3 titles continue the stories of the lead characters from the Trilogy.

Thurston has IMHO an easier to read style than some of the other authors, especially William Keith Jr who wrote most the Grey Death books who I feel has a tendency to ramble on with too much filler and not enough action.

I agree , I think Thurston did a good job. I'm just having a hard time getting over Stackpoles 180 and Wizkids "just because" history progression (especially the hippie disarmament of one sector of space, especially while the rest of the 'verse fully armed ready and raiding).
