I think the upcoming line of 1/200 scale Macross collection figures by Yamato will be just what you are looking for. Keep watching for news. Graham

I knew that the Revoltech YF-19 and YF-21 were in development long before that rumor broke (I heard about them several months ago (although the Regult and M&M are news to me), which is why that rumor just didn't make sense to me. When the primary market for all Revoltechs is Japan, it seems odd to say that they will drop Macross, especially for toys that are so cheap to design and produce. Like most Japanese toy companies, does Kaiyodo even care about the Japanese toy market? Graham

Guys, I'm posting a better re-scan of chapter 1 in a seperate thread. I've decided to tidy up this thread and I'll re-name it as Macross Frontier Manga Chapter 2 thread. I'll be going through the thread soon and deleting most of the early posts prior to the scans of chapter 2. From now on each monthly chapter of the manga will get it's own thread. Graham -

I'm not happy with the original scan I did of the first chapter of the Shonen Ace Macross Frontier manga. I've decided to do a better quality re-scan. However, as chapter 1 is 70+ pages, it will take a while to finish, especially as I have a business trip to Taiwan coming up in the next few days. Without further ado, here's page 1 of chapter 1. Personally, I'm not that impressed with Revoltech quality to date. Out of the three Revoltech toys I've bought (VF-1J, VF-1S & VF-1A), two have had problems. My VF-1S was missing the open left hand and my VF-1A had sloppy paint application and a crack on the chest plate, just above the heat shield. Graham

It will be interesting to see the Kaiyodo YF-19 and YF-21 sculpts. I hope they are not too funky and stylized and manage to keep the revoltech ball joints hidden from view as much as possible. I'm sure Kaiyodo will do a good job on the Regult though, as they have experience with that in the old Kaiyodo/Movic line and did an excellent job. I'll probably stick with the GN-U line though for the reasons mentioned above. I like the sculpts and basically I don't mind paying more for a toy with double jointed knees and elbows, full internal skeleton and most importantly ABS construction. I really hate PVC toys. Graham

Don't know where this rumour came from, but it is completely false. Graham
