  1. Where the Aquarion OVAs and Movies all new footage, or recyled animation? Graham
  2. I really hope the movie is all new footage, not a clip compilation show using existing footage. However, If they want to retell the story, ala DYRL I'm fine with that as long as it's all new footage. Of course, a movie showing what happens after the events of episode 25 would be best IMO. I wanna see an Ozma and Cathy wedding. I really hate those compilation clip movies that Sunrise like to do for the Gundam TV series, I find them completely unwatchable. Tried to watch the Turn A clip compilation movies, and it was like WTF, they were just jumping from scene to scene really fast and nothing made sense, no continuity at all. Graham
  3. Arnie is in season 2? Graham
  4. It's generally been known for a few months now that it was going to be 25 eps. Graham
  5. Damn, and we don't even have it here in HK yet. Graham
  6. Here's a new magazine scan of the 1/60 DX that MWer mickayesou posted in the VF100s thread earlier today. I am moving the picture to the correct thread. Graham
  7. I seem to be out of the loop at the moment again and I don't know why. I haven't received any emails from Yamato or replies to my emails since late July. Graham
  8. Whoa, that is a lot of little small parts too keep track of. Graham
  9. Release date is 9th October. Graham
  10. While some of the outstanding plot points have already been resolved, I'm wondering how they can wrap up everything in just one more episode and still give us a mega action mecha porn finale at the same time. Graham
  11. Don't think it's a joke as it's on the official Japanese Playstation site. Maybe a typo though. They got the episode counts right for all the other listed series (I think). Graham
  12. Woo Hoo! If this is true, it likely means a second season. Graham
  13. Don't know where Macross is going, but I do know I'm gonna miss my weekly Macross fix after the series wraps up tomorrow. Not looking forward to going cold turkey. Graham
  14. Preview pics for episode # 25 up on the official Frontier site. Graham
  15. My eyes, they burn! Please no trannie pics in this thread, or at least post a 'Danger extreme kibble' warning first. Graham
  16. 'Stickers', as the name implies stick, i.e. they use some form of adhesive backing (glue) to adhere (stick) to the model. 'Decals', on the oher hand is commonly considered to mean 'water slide decals', i.e. the type of markings that come with traditional model kits that you need to dip in water so they come off the backing paper. Decals are thinner than stickers and give a more professional look, but are tricker to apply and can be quite fragile. Graham
  17. Wasn't it mentioned a few weeks ago in a magazine or online article translation that Bandai purposely made the 1/60 DX big n' chunky, to give it an old school feel like the 1/55s? I'd be interested to know what Japanese fans think of the DX sculpt so far? It seems we fans outside Japan want a lineart accurate and slim toy, but how about the Japanese fans, do they want slim or chunky? I wonder is this just a case of Bandai not doing enough market research? Graham
  18. I'm sure if the first production run sells well, they will reissue it. Graham
  19. The S-type head is the Bandai head, not fan made. Only the G-type and RVF-type heads are fan made. Graham
  20. Very interesting theory. Graham
  21. As mentioned, the new November 2008 issue of Hobby Japan magazine (just out) has a Macross Frontier cover and 47 pages about Macross Frontier model kits, toys and some CG mecha art. Out of those 47 pages, 40 pages focus on the Bandai 1/72 scale model kits, with some beautiful photos of completed VF-25F Alto and VF-25S Ozma kits, as well as custom Michael VF-25G, Luca RVF-25 and a scratch built 1/72 scale VF-27 battroid mode. Here are scans of 10 sample pages. Enjoy! I really recommend buying this issue so you can enjoy all the pages. Graham
  22. CG mecha scans from the new November 2008 issue of Hobby Japan Magazine. Note the various versions of the VF-171EX. After about a month, I will remove the pages from the mag to file them and then I can do better scans. Graham
  23. Guessing it wont have removable intake covers like Yamato. Graham
  24. Just out today in HK, so probably out yesterday or the day before in Japan. Graham
  25. Sorry correction, the 1/72 scale scratch built VF-27 model in the new Hobby Japan is battroid mode only, not variable. Graham
