  1. URGENT Not at work now, so could somebody help me to find and post either a screen cap from the anime or line art of the following: - 1) VF-17 in fighter mode firing the gunpod. IIRC, there are many scenes in the anime showing a frnt view of the fighter with the muzzle flash coming from the port in the right leg. 2) Screen cap from the anime of the beam gun adaptor ejecting from the right leg and then also on the gunpod. Large pics please. Graham
  2. True, I agree with that. Graham 1) Personally, I prefer the sleek, streamlined somewhat minimalistic look of the VF-19Kai/F/S/P over the YF-19. Different strokes for different folks. I've always thought the VF-19Kai/F/S/P look much more advanced than the YF-19. 2) The gunpod (actually it's a Speaker Pod Launcher)fires large caliber speaker pods. It is a large bore single barrel weapon, not a gattling. 3) The VF-19F/S/P will all be gloss plastic. This can't be changed now, without great expense. 4) I will talk to Yamato about tampo for the consoles fpr future versions. Graham
  3. Tampo is as it should be as far as I'm concerned. It has the lightning flashes and that's all that was ever shown. Personally, for the non-military Fire Valk, I want the toy how it appeared in the show, not covered in extraneous non-canon warning markings. Graham
  4. Hope it comes out by June 25th, as that's when I fly for a 3 week holiday. Worried about missing it. Graham
  5. Just noticed the VF-19C/MG21 has old UN Spacy kite markings. Graham
  6. I'd say it's the other way round. Yamato = Shinsei Industries. Bandai = General Galaxy. Mostly because Yamato has more winning products, just like Shinsei Graham
  7. I agree with Renato, with the VF-19Kai, Yamato have taken things to a whole new level. Graham
  8. Here's the latest scans from the new July 2011 issue of Dengeki Hobby Magazine. 8 pages in total this month. Enjoy! Graham
  9. Here's the latest scans from the new July 2011 issue of Dengeki Hobby magazine. Grahm
  10. Yes it is. There really was a lot of love put into this toy. Graham
  11. It seems to be an entierly new mold. I don't think converting it back to a VF-25 would be easy. Graham Yes it is. I just picked up the new Dengeki Hobby magazine and there are 2 pages of pics on the DX YF-29. The toy is shown with the pilot out of the cockpit. Will scan and post the pics on Saturday, no time before then. Graham
  12. Just picked up the new July 2011 issue of Dengeki Hobby magazine, this month's mecha focus is on Destroids, specifically a modified Defender called 'Defender-S' with twin gattling guns (1 per arm) instead of the normal quad cannons. The Defender-S is also fitted with 4 x DYRL type UMM-7 micro-missile pods (two per arm, mounted one above and one below the gattling). There is also a green and white VF-19C (basically a stock repainted VF-19A/YF-19 kit). Unfortunately no time to scan in the article until the weekend. Graham
  13. Wrong thread for this question. Graham
  14. I'd also love them, I think they look great in fighter mode. However, I've been told we probably won't get them, as there are issues with integrating them on both the leg and shoulders. Graham
  15. The lower leg is going to be the key. Keeping it chunky as per the line art, but still allowing a slim profile in fighter mode will be very tricky. Graham Yeah, Kawamori did employ a lot of anime magic with the Macross 7 battroids, making them far chunkier than is feasible to transform into such slim fighter modes. Graham
  16. Not sure yet, the preliminery CAD drawings I've been lucky enough to be shown are only partial and don't show the legs yet. I hope they can achieve a chunky battroid, but keep a skinny fighter, but that may be asking too much of even Yamato's genius designers. Graham
  17. Cough........off topic........cough! Graham
  18. The VF-19Kai's spine seems very sturdy to me and the parts fitting is infinitely superior to the YF-19. First I've heard of any parts cracking on the YF-19's spine!!!!????? Did I miss something? Graham
  19. Latest pics from the new July issue of Hobby Japan magazine just out today. First look at the new pilot sculpt. Poseability looks good on this toy. Graham
  20. No, with Fire Valkyrie and Fire Bomber! Graham Still unknown/undecided. The toy is only in the prelimineray CAD stage, there's a lot of work still to do. Graham
  21. Confirmed VF-17 should be matte finish (the powers that be could still change their mind later), but at the moment the word is matte. Graham
  22. Yes, Basara can stay in the seat for the whole transformation, there is no need to remove him. Yes, the cockpit is very secure in battroid mode. Even with the top hatch open so you can see Basara, I'm not sure there is actually enough room to shake him out. Graham
  23. As mentioned previously, the gloss finish is a property of the inside surface treatment of the mold and this cannot be changed, so yes, the VF-19/S/F/P will all be gloss. Graham
  24. We see twin fold boosters being used by RVF-171s in Mac Frontier. Either extended range or using one to go and one to come back makes sense (assuming they are still single use). Graham
  25. AFAIK, the 19 Kai was made gloss, cus Kawamori told them it should be gloss. Graham
