  1. To be fair we should keep any politics about guns or gun ownership out of this thread. Also a big reason people do not post pictures of their guns (like me) is because we don't like to brag about them... then again I also don't post pics because I don't like people knowing what I own so they can come to my house and swipe all my stuff!
  2. You are among friends with me! I prefer the lighter and handier M16A1 to the newer A2 block models though... I've always found the A1 to be a nice handly lightwieght effective rifle. I prefer the carbines like the loud mouse and the XM177 but they are just sooo freaking loud! Even with hearing protectors on those things give me a headache... makes me wonder how Delta runs those things in close quarters.
  3. I've already got an SP1... all I need is the M203 and I'm in business! Heh heh heh... Seriously though, owning guns does not make a person violent or aggressive. Calling people names does. Keep on your path of personal attacks and the mods will step in and end this little party toot sweet. I have no problem with you bashing a thing, just don't make it personal.
  4. [Clarence Bodiker] Guns! Guns! Guns![/Clarence Bodiker] My personal collection: - Glock 21 - Glock 27 (brand new!) - WWII 1911A1 - Colt SP1 (first series AR15) - Colt SP1 Carbine (looks like a XM177 with a custom built moderator) On my "to buy" list: - Springfield M1A Scout rifle - M96 Expiditionary Rifle - Springfield XD9 Subcompact (it's so cute!) My favorite guns that I've shot: - M16A1 and the Colt 639 Commando (AKA the loud mouse) - Mk249 SAW Squad Assault Weapon (easier to handle than the pig for us "lightwieghts") - H&K MP5K Pistol Being a "gun nut" myself I've been around a lot of them and shot a lot of 'em. Most of them do the same thing as a lot of others so my personal favorites stem from the ones I've been able to handle the easiest. Edit: DOH! I always get the Mk249 SAW mixed up with the Mk23 SOCOM... I have no clue why, I'm just a retard.
  5. Woah! Woah! Woah! Nice shootin' tex! Seriously guys, try to keep the personal attacks to a minimum. You can argue a point strongly without calling people jackasses. Fight smart, use your words.
  6. Woooooooaaaaaaah. Now that would make for an uncomfortable christmas morning "opening the gifts" photo!
  7. I remember one christmas my fiancee tried to be "cool" and buy me some collectables... She got me a green carded rebel soldier with like ten price tags on it and a damaged card and she got me a toys R Us gift certificate... ... it's the effort that counts...
  8. A minibike... A fire truck... Napalm... That M16A1 with the M203 grenade launcher on it... and a big tin of that gummy caramel popcorn... ... guess what I'm actually going to get... <_<
  9. That's the trick though, I just don't see Arnold taking a "back seat" veterain actor roll in a movie. He has always been hands-on, shake-em-up kind of actor... Eastwood has always been the laid-back hardass and his "persona" easily translates to his later life roles. Arnold would just look weird as a general behind a desk... it does not suit him. Then again there is always the work behind the camera. Arnold directed that episode of Tales from the Crypt, maybee he'll move behind the camera like Eastwood and produce and direct. He sure as s#!t has the connections to be a producer.
  10. Then again he could get hit by the rumored "retaliation recall request" if he doesn't deliver after 100 days. <_< How many aging action stars other than Sean Connery and Clint Eastwood have kept up their film careers after growing old? I don't know... someone must though... With any hope Arnie will come back to the silver screen like Eastwood did after the politics are over.
  11. Guyver calls them Zoanoids... Bionoid was just a close sounding equally goofy word.
  12. Awwwww... but that subject takes up a good 90% of Agent One's waking hours!
  13. Perhaps I should clear up my own college history, I went to an art school were almost all of the females fell into one of three categories: the feminist protesters who thought you were an evil evil man who only wanted one thing from them, the intelligent ones who liked you but would not be a party to any sort of raucus things and the "artsy" ones who were usually stoned out of their minds along with everyone else. None of them would be caught dead in some situation like this... the school I went to was not a drinker's "party campus"... we lit up in our lofts and had some crazy times but they were small gatherings far removed from the drunken rowdy stereotypical "college party" and nothing of Schwarzenegger proportions happened around me. My party scene to this day is a nice small group of friends with some good wine and "other things", some nice background music and some comfortable furniture to hang out on. Maybee I'm just always in the wrong place at the wrong time... But hey, Schwarzenegger has partied my share for me... right guys?!
  14. Hey Agent... what College did you go to again and will they take a 33 year old applicant?
  15. My thinking is the internal meeting went something like this: Mr. Big: "So what's the story on the Alpha toys?" Designer: "Well sir, we're ten months behind schedule and fifty thousand over budget." Mr. Big: "Crap. Come on, guys... this is supposed to be a 'cash in' license not a 'cash out' one!" Designer: "Sorry sir." Mr. Big: "OK, OK... what can we do to make some quick coin off these gullable fanboys..." Designer: "Well... we still have the VF-1 molds..." Mr. Big: "Eureka! We'll crank out another variant to make some quick lucre! Slap a different head on it with a new paint job and blammo! We'll do the same thing those Yamacho people are doing... the fanboys seem to just love those Yamada things that are all alike..." Designer: "Need I remind you sir our previous offerings are still rotting on people's shelves... how can we sell yet another crappy variation on a concept that is floundering?" Mr. Big: "Easy, we make the limited editions even more limited! Cut the production run by a third! We'll still get the money from the sale to the distributors and then they can shoulder the losses... just like before!" Designer: "Mr. Big, you are a genius!" Mr. Big: "Yeah, I know... now who's up for a nice lunchtime puppy beating? I'm buying!"
  16. Am I the only one left saying: "Great, they delayed my Mospeada toys to bring out this POS..." <_
  17. Keen. Hey are you in the bay area? Do they still run the "Music from the Hearts of Space"? Back in college we had a station that mirrored the "Music from the Hearts of Space" late at night... maaaaaaaan... you get a good buzz on and hang out in a dark room with some pals and just relax to that... faaaaar ooouuuut maaaaaaan... B) Edit: Anyone from the Bay Area? Do they still run that show? It was really trippy new age music, mainly keyboards with loooooooong trippy space chords. Not like Yanni or Tesh, more like "getting stoned and cruizing through space" music. It was kick ass makeout music too, really low key and "mystical".

    1:60 GBP-1 !?

I'll do like I always do: I'll buy one when it comes out and then I'll bitch about it... but only if it is "bitchworthy".
  19. Accents? I'm a native Nevadian who went to school in Chicago and now work in Saint Louis... 'round these parts you get the: "Arnge Fard Tarus on Highway Farty Far and Parple Sharts Waring Folks". I worked in Texas for two years after school and my Oxford accent gave me away as a Yankee. Northerners, Southerners... It's all the same country but I will agree with Mechamaniac, you bump into one person with a really thick drawl and it's like they're speaking another language. BACK ON TOPIC: Anyone here listen to classical?
  20. I didn't catch that one... I'm having too much fun trying to find undignified pictures of Arnold online!
  21. Actually I think this is as blasphemous as you can get with Arnold...
  22. Awwwwwwww Come on! He's AH-nuld! Don'cha just want to put him on your monitor so he can look down on you all day?
  23. Actually he has lost a lot of his height and bulk... take a look at this recent photo:
  24. You didn't do anything "bad" or "wrong", I and some of the other people like to make jokes... we're just giving you s#!t, that's all. Some people in these parts can't take a joke though... <_<
  25. Some of the Lucasarts games I've played and loved are: Sam and Max Hit the Road Full Throttle Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (Adventure and Action versions) Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe My opinion is that Lucasarts, much like a lot of computer game makers right now, just has not come up with any new and interesting ideas for games lately... and the ones that have potential seem to get buttfreaked before they get out the door. Perhaps this little corporate decapitaion will make for some changes that get that stick out of thier butt.
