I am assuming the fansubbers are eager for feedback, or they wouldn't come post here. And I certainly don't think any of us has been disrespectful or ungrateful.

If its accurate and a good read, the waiting is certainly worth it.

Personally, I watch 3 a week (AiA-IZ, Gattai, and Shinsen).

Several instances of funny wording. Not plot errors, mind you, but just how it reads. Alto tells Mikhail that "you better not forget this!" when he is pushing him hard, which makes no sense. It should read something like, "I won't forget this!" Also, "It's twice as tough with the EX-Gear switched on.", which again, makes no sense. Its easier with it switched on. There are several instances of that kinda thing in this episode. And then it seems like several people are just given the rank of captain (including Bobby??). Some of their choices when it comes to wording strike me as odd, as well. Shinsen's first three episodes are still better than the first three put out by the other three groups doing this series, and I was just a little shocked to see such a drop in quality in this release. For my money, Shinsen has been doing the best work, accuracy and readability. Gattai does well with accuracy, but suffers when it comes to readability. AiA-IZ is a solid read, but the translation has been a little too fast and loose for my liking. You *must* get plot points right when subbing, over everything else. However, their episode 4 release is my favorite Frontier sub so far. Outside of the big flub on Ranka being the only survivor of the 117th Research Fleet, I really felt AiA-IZ took a big step forward with episode 4, and I am eagerly awaiting their episode 5 work.

The first 3 releases from Shinsen were definitely better than any of the rest, but they really blew it on episode 4. Seemed like they rushed it to catch up a bit, which I didn't think they needed to do.

I actually put out a few posts, asking the few subbers who have been posting here to take some extra time with their release, in the name of getting it right (accuracy over speed). I am hoping the delay means we may see the best Frontier sub release yet from any group.

It certainly sounds like the Galaxy is more of a, I dunno, city ship? Literally. High on metal, low on bio. Also, it does sound like that fleet doesn't any Zentradi on it. Makes you wonder about the state of affairs amongst the UN colonies (or however you want to look at them).

Spiritia isn't magic, and Anima Spiritia aren't magicians. And what happened in Zero is totally unrelated. The Mayan natives are different, they are there for a reason. Basara couldn't have shown up and done what Sara did.

We have yet to see any Ranka fan service, unless you count her bikini in Miss Macross.

Gattai has Ranka being one of the survivors of the 177th Research Fleet, AiA-IZ has her being the ONLY survivor... and, of course, we then see other survivors show up in episode 5. Its all relative.

What, Alto going from a student to what is basically a special forces pilot in 4 or 5 episodes isn't fast enough for you?

They've changed the "end game" more than once, and for a long while, didn't even have one. I would not be surprised if Hera didn't end up playing much of a role at all when all is said and done. Then again, she may play a significant one. I really have no idea at this point.

The manga and the anime are not 1:1. The manga is a slightly different take on the story. In the anime, they hid in the locker instead. Don't expect to see them in the valkyrie together.

Well, I REALLY got lost when the Hybrid tole Starbuck she would lead the fleet to their death. For a few years I've had it all set in my mind, the humans creating Cylons thing is a never ending cycle. This has all happened before, and it will all happen again, etc. All humans were originally Cylon, you get the idea. I was so convinced of this, thought I had it all figured out. Now, I don't know what to think.
