Ive been having some pretty crappy luck with shipping lately, I dont think Ive ever gotten a busted up package from hlj, but here we go.  Ems too, so it was out in the wild less than a week

Mine was even worse. Ordered off eBay (my only available option). Waited two weeks despite having paid for EMS, and then when it showed up, it wasn't even in an outer box. Just bubble wrap and paper. I was PISSED, to say the least. Fortunately the product inside was undamaged, but the box is pretty banged up.

I would've ordered Ray too but price is too high for what's pretty much the same toy.

I feel the same way, honestly. But at the same time I also feel like I should order Ray to support the line or we might never see the last two. Beagle all over again.

Just posting this here to see which version folks here think is the best, and to get opinions on how to make them better... constructive feedback and criticisms are welcome.:hi:

    • A is based directly on the MOSPEADA's internal 'cutaway' shown bellow.
    • B is the same as A but with gradients for many of the details.
    • C is my take on the image posted earlier.
    • D is a conventional layout just for fun.

C looks the best to me. Very clean.

WHY did they not make it that you can store the extra parts in the base :(

Pretty sure all the money went into engineering the figure. Kuma's right about the stand, too. It's the same one that came with Sentinel's Detonator Orgun several years back, which is currently sitting on my shelf.

For the people who already have theirs is the transformation really as frustrating as that video makes it look?  Or is this a case like with video game journalists where the least qualified to demonstrate how to do something make fools of themselves on camera and you wonder why they're the ones shooting the video.

The figure has so many tiny, thin armatures.. some that look like they're only a couple of millimeters thick.. and many of them are required to rotate, turn, to withstand torque essentially. That's what scares me so much. Even with experience, I feel as though I'm always going to be just one wrong move away from having a very expensive, broken figure. I sincerely hope I'm wrong and that the toy isn't as fragile as it appears to be.

Slow and steady with this one.

  6. After watching that transformation video, I'm considering getting a second one just so I don't have to go through the process again. Whew! Probably better for the figure's longevity as well. So many tiny, thin armatures. Scary.

  7. Still waiting on a TV Roy VF-1S, a VF-1D and Max and Kakizaki's TV VF-1A variants. Also, when are the Tomahawks supposed to go up for preorder?

Can someone give me a link to the right display stands for the HiMetal R VF2SS?  I want something that will connect to the mounting pieces that came with the toy.

Does the VF-2SS not include a stand?

  9. To be fair, I doubt the VF-2SS was ever intended to exist as an actual production piece. Lots of animation trickery going on with its design. Having said that, I think it's a good attempt and I don't regret my purchase. I'll probably buy Nexx.. next.

  10. That's some fantastic lineart right there. Thanks for sharing! Which book(s) would you guys recommend if I wanted to have a relatively complete collection of Macross Valkyrie lineart?
