  1. Still waiting for TV VF-1S Roy, TV Max and TV Kakizaki VF-1As and.. the last two Destroids. Figuarts has a prime opportunity to make Zentran/Meltran soldiers to go against the Valks, too.

An SOC TV SDF-1 would be fantastic.

  2. I gave up collecting Masterpiece Transformers when they shifted to the full toon design aesthetic. I didn't want a shelf full of mismatched figures and they were becoming more and more expensive. My breaking point was when I realized that I wasn't enjoying them because I was worried about breaking a very expensive toy because of whatever issues it may have had, or having to set aside a half an hour to transform them because of how over-engineered they'd become. I was in denial for a while since I was pretty well invested in the line, but I just wasn't having fun. They're great display pieces, but not really fun to handle.

I've since switched over to main line Transformers figures. Between Siege, Earthrise, Kingdom and Studio Series 86 I'll soon have the collection I'd been trying to build with Masterpiece figures. I can forgive a lot more at mass retail price points. So far, so good.

I mean... there's Deus Ex mentioned above... I mean if it is just Deus Ex The Newest One, and if it's just a case of me significantly underestimating the number of people who have been really chomping at the bit for more Deus Ex, then I guess that would explain it.

The game that CD Projekt Red's Cyberpunk 2077 is based on was created in 1988, twelve years before Deus Ex was released. Cyberpunk and Cyberpunk 2077 aren't the first games in the genre, but they certainly aren't the newest Deus Ex. The people who've been waiting for Cyberpunk 2077 are anxious because the game has been in development for seven years by a very well-regarded developer and they've been wanting a video game version of Cyberpunk, the tabletop RPG. Then there's the fans of the genre in general.

Whatever the case, lots of people have been waiting a very long time for this one. Check it out!

Can I ask: What exactly is it about Cyberpunk 2077 that has everyone so excited? Is it mainly the devs' pedigree, ie Witcher 3? Does it stand out amongst cyberpunk media? I remember the hype was already through the roof the moment the first announcement was made, and I just don't get why.

Because it's an opportunity to play in a cyberpunk setting made famous by Blade Runner that until now we haven't had the technology to adequately experience. That and it's the video game version of Mike Pondsmith's Cyberpunk tabletop RPG that many of us played back in the day. For me it was high school. Good times.

    That's why it's a big deal.

I'm playing on PC (Ryzen 5 3600, RTX 2060S 8GB, 32GB RAM at 3200, SATA SSD) and it's running great with the latest drivers. Optimized with RTX/DLSS performance getting 55-85 FPS on high/ultra at 1080p. Haven't run into any bugs yet. Been really smooth.

  5. Just checked out an unboxing video for the DX 1/48 VF-1S by Luna Park. The second comment by AlmostOnTimeHero (paraphrasing here): "I checked out your store. You have a lot of nice things! I wish you the best. Good luck. "From Japan, selling Beautiful Figures to Beautiful People Around the World." That's your slogan. LOL. I don't think you know your demographic."

Yep, it's me. Behind on getting back to everyone. Will do so today.

I'll vouch for Anasazi37. One of the OGs of Macross World Forums. I very much appreciate his contributions and his decals are top notch. Thanks for taking care of our community, Anasazi37. We're grateful.

  7. OkiniLand finally shipped mine. Was processing for about four days, but that's fine. I'm just glad I was able to get one without paying too much of a markup. $267 isn't bad, all things considered. I haven't been this excited for a Macross release since the Yamato 1/48s all those years ago. Looking forward to seeing everyone's pics!

    -b.

That looks outstanding! I also really appreciate the Skull insignia being just a little lower on the heat shield. I think they're a bit too high with the stock application. Bandai did the same thing with the Hi-Metal R version. Red Comet is legit!

No, the heat shield for Roy/Hikaru’s VF-1S on SDFM also had a skull

I knew that. I mean the little black badge shape with the skull on it, that sits slightly behind the canopy on the fuselage. Thought those were movie only.
