  1. You could always pick up a copy of Fine Scale Modeler at your local bookstore and call all of the listed Hobby Shops from the back of the magazine.

I checked the latest issue and while no shops listed in your homestate there are 79, so maybe one of those has it on the rack still. Here's a quick webcam photo of the section I'm talking about. Sorry I can't take a better shot for you. Good luck.

  2. Here's one I did a while back. I started with an old kit of an F4D Skyray and modified it to be a UAV in the Macross Universe. Kind of an early version of the "Ghost".

I think I finally added some decals after I took these pics, but I'd have to dig it out of the closet 'o doom and check.

Sweet, plus a little history to make it fit!

  3. Member cool8or is really the inspiration for this, he's done some pretty cool "Macrossinizing" of non-canon vehicles (see nicely detailed APC here http://img204.imageshack.us/i/dsc0675redimensionarwb9.jpg/ ). I was wondering what other members out there have done.

This was my Kurt Custom that I have since let go, but I so enjoyed it while I had it.

So lets see what you guys have come up with. Let your vanity run amok and post your coolest creations

  4. How did you get lucky enough to score both sets of decals??? I can't even find the Paris Act decals. I've got an appointment with Kurt with no decals. :(

Yeah, at first I was a little miffed that I had to find my own decals for my Kurt Custom, but now I completely understand why he doesn't go through the hassle, cause man is it ever a freaking hassle... In the end since mine was non-canon I was able to do a mix of 1/48 and 1/72 I had found from various sources.

/I feel bad selling it, but I knew once I could picture selling it, I was going to. Got myself a 1/4 scale Sideshow scout trooper and speeder bike with the proceeds though.

Here it is, BTW. Some lucky dude in South America is now the proud owner...

  5. Curious or web lazy  It would have taken you longer to write the list than do a decent search

A lot of those kits have been discussed fairly often on this site and even my pathetic search-fu can find references to most of them

And as said put a call out in the wanted section. I'm pretty sure someone has put a list up pretty similar to yours in not so distant past.

Me thinks it's the same guy... ;)

Dude, that's one expensive list you got there  , good luck.

  6. Nice... is this mean we can ask for....... detail part of landing gear bay and so forth? cuz I can only get to one air show per year at edward air force base... sometimes it's really hard to get close.....

I've got a DVD full of hi-res shots of landing gears I took at the Smithsonian @ Dulles airport. PM me if you need some shots... :)

  7. I loved Robotech as a kid, and on a whim about a year and a half ago I decided to see if I could find a nicely detailed Valk for display on my desk and came across the 1/48 Yamato Stealth. Gobs of money later, here I am, full on addicted. My wife says I kept this from her on purpose while we were dating so she wouldn't freak out and run screaming for the hills. :p As long as Macross money doesn't come out of the budget, I'm free to do as I please.

  8. Hmmmm. Good point. I never really noticed, but it is missing that purple design that runs across the chest and arm. <_<

Well, If you can get a hi-res scan you could always print those on your home computer and use them alongside the Samuel set.

  9. Thank you 007-VF1 for your words. As you said, at this moment I'm worry trying to return to my country and to be with my family. Thank God they're OK, but I miss them very much.

But talking about my collection, and according with my girlfriend, my shelf didn't go down with the earthquake, so my model kit collection should't have severe damages. Only a Hulk statue and a Namor bust hit the floor and suffers some breaks and scratches.

Ultimateone, about the Cat's eye photos, you can find it here:

Anyway, I think that it's time to apply a little update to this topic! I been finished a lot of models since I created this topic over 2 years ago...

Oh, man Cool8or, I didn't even realize... I'm glad to hear that your loved ones are ok. I wish you all the best.
