I don't think I'd be able to take Prime or Jazz (or any other ones with more distinct voices) any other way, but the original.

Thats why I'd rather go with the plastic Alternators...no paint chips and the colors match from panel to panel.

Just wait for the hype to die down. I was able to get every alternator at either Toy r Us or Target.

Saw the Cybertron stuff at Toys R us today...dam...Starscream is huge!

No sign of Wheeljack in 'SoCal. I found a Shockblast once, but passed on him...Of course, I'm not a cherry-picker/scalper, so maybe those two have been all over the place and have been snatched up by everybody else... I found a Wheeljack at a TRU in Porter Ranch. Got another Shockblast too. Went there to kill some time.

The reason why the prices are so high is because people are willing to pay these prices. These are sold as "collector" items, this way the high prices are justifiable. Honestly...there is no reason why they can't sell these for under 100 bucks. The raw material must cost only a few cents. I know there are other costs involved, but come on... I paid 130 for my Hikaru 1S and 115 for my Max...I thought that was rediculous. If people stopped buying...I bet the prices would come down real fast.

I don't remember if anyone noticed this...but Shockwave has a bodykit...Jazz dosen't. Blast...makes me want Shockwave more now.

I've seen jack around my area. Nothing but empty shelves...

Where are you guys finding Shockwave and Wheeljack? I've been to all my local Target and Walmarts and all I'm finding is empty shelves.

Strange coincidence? I went to Toys R US and Walmart yesterday and the only two that were left was Swindle and Windcharger.

I saw Binaltechs at Puzzle Zoo in Santa Monica for 82 bucks...that's a rip.

Had that when I was like 12...gave it away...it wasn't really that fun.

Even though Target has a smaller selection...they actually have stuff I want. All of my alternators, so far came from Target...except for Tracks...which came from a Taiwan Toys R Us.

UGH that happened to me too. I missed my chance on a tracks cuz i was sure there be more at a target later on - and the gf said "no more tf's for now!" well... saw one Jazz... had to pick it up. got the same reaction your wife probably did! Lol...I picked up the last Jazz at my local Target...after that I've never seen one again. Tracks I pick up in all places, a Toys r Us in Taipei three weeks ago.
