I cant view it now either
Its a Macross Mikimoto puzzle from Bandai. Looks like it was released in maybe 1984 or 1985. I have neverseen this HAL art before.
Maybe someone with a YJ account could post pics?

I can add that its only good for parts at this point. The wings and flaps and feet are commonly missing from these toys.
$15 on ebaY might be stretching it though

I'm coming out for Anime Expo from Denver and can attend the weekend before or after possibly. Otherwise, I can't make it. I'm not sure if very many others are planning the same..
If it was the same weekend as AX, I would 100% be there
Edit: Now that I think about it, I would like the weekend before so I can spend the 4th with my family.

Not quite. The Yamato's use grip shaped impressions in the forearms with a small peg in the middle. These use a slot in just the right forearm with a slat on the gun for holding the GU-11. Copy Yamato? Not even close.
Now, did they copy Bandai's 1/72 HCM? Yes, exactly

How about updating the Collections section?
Let me know when you are there and I'll send more current pics and info.

Yes, its mine
The first Macross poster I guess

Okay, I posted this on ToyboxDX also and got a translation
"Macross: Showing on 25 TBS/MBS Stations Across the Country Every Sunday Starting at 2 PM!" "Produced by Mainichi Broadcasting and Tatsunoko Productions. Designed by Big West and Studio Nue."
The list at right is of television stations.
Thanks to Matt Alt

Okay, back on topic, can anyone translate this poster? It could give me clue as to its origin..

I hate people who chew loudly.

areaseven: Agreed. People, its a dead horse, stop beating it.
jenius: Its actually official. Check out the Gakken logo on the lower right of the box. It was released in Singapore, but the logo and the odd pilots are definately not Mospeada. I'm guessing that like Henshin Robo, these were just repackaged Gakken toys for distribution is a secondary market.
I really dig that Legioss Soldier image on the front

SDF TV (8/10) Awesome story, animation is spotty at times.
DYRL (7.5/10) Awesome animation, story is pretty dumb
FB2012 (7/10) Awesome animation, no story, good songs
Mac Plus (10/10) Awesome animation, awesome story
Mac 7 (7/10) Spotty animation, story drags at first
Mac D7 (7.5/10) Awesome animation, okay story
Mac 7 Movie (6.5/10) Animation could be better for a motion picture, story kinda boring, good songs
Mac Zero (6/10) Mix of CG and cel animation poorly executed, story pretty lame.
Mac 2 (6.5/10) Spotty animation, weak story
Overall, I'd say Macross is 65% collecting (books, toys, posters, etc) and 35% the animation.

Do you have a cleaner scan of that, it looks really cool from what I can see in the picture
I agree, its an awesome drawing. Looks like it was a pencil sketch for a hanken cel that was never produced. Well, at least I have never seen it produced. Some of the artists on here might want to take a stab at it and make a completed hanken version.

This is why the Takatoku "variable" Battroid Silver is the fugliest toy. Just so you believe me, I have included the instructions to show that this is how it looks in fighter mode The orange version is made of eraser quality rubber and came in the Takatoku Macross Super Robo Set. Is it any wonder Takatoku went bankrupt?
Oh, and Madarake.co.jp has two versions for $100 each!
-
Okay, here are my Fugliest Macross Toy Ever candidates: Top left, vinyl Takatoku VF1J Armored Battroid; top center, Ohsato rubber VF1J Battroid; top right, Ohsato plastic "Keshigomu" VF1J Battroid; bottom left, Takatoku VF1J "variable" Battroid Silver; and a vinyl Takatoku VF1J Battroid.

Oh! forgot about that one, yes its super fugly, but you havent seen the Takatoku gold metallic variable Valkyrie in fighter mode I'll bet
I'll get some scans (my digi cam is broken) tonight and scans of its retarded rubber half brother thats kept hidden in the basement from the Super Robo Case
