All kidding aside, I actually enjoy (a sick enjoyment mind you) reading the arguments on both sides of an issue, even if the argument is over a toy! However, I can see some getting really pissed when they post a question, and the thread goes umpteen pages full of mile-long quotes and arguments over arguably tangential topics. This thread started as a debate over whether they would re-release the Low-Viz. I've stated my position. Now, some people have taken issue with my position. . . and I have defended it. I fail to see why I need to stop defending my position. If I'm supposed to take a "let's agree to disagree" position, that's fine. But nobody has actually said anything that would lead to such a resolution. Rather, we have people obstinately entrenched on both sides. Yet, at least I address what the other side is saying. It comes down to this: The side that says that Low Vises will be released again says nonsense like: "All Valkyries are Limited Production" or "Yamato never said they wouldn't release more Low Vizes" or "There is no difference between releasing more Hikarus and releasing more Low-Vizes." Now, I address all those statements (and more). And if once, just once, one of you had actually directly addressed a counter-argument, I would have been happy to agree to disagree. But, nobody has. . . rather, you just start attacking me. It's pretty sad, actually. I type quite a bit. . . and the response is to ignore any points I've made, fail to address them at all, and just restate the same position. And now, failing to come up with any rational counter-arguments, you're all just personally bashing me. Bravo for you guys. You're all so easy-going and laid back! Bully for you! The thing is though. . . you only make me more sure that you've got nowhere to go in your argument. I'd be happy to agree to disagree. But nobody here has made a compelling case against anything I've said. And rather than try, you'd all just like to point and make fun of the guy who tried to give a good answer to this thread, and point out where other answers might be misleading and misinormed. Great, so all of us who bought multiples of the 1A version can feel like we wasted money? I woudln't feel like i wasted money. Though I'd replace -1S with 1J. Roy is the ONLY 1S there should be... at least as early as M0. As far as the guy saying I should buy another one... I'm not paying $200 for a Low-Viz sans armor, though if someone wants to sell their used one I'll be happy to take it off their hands... and even then it'd be another squad member! And the leader would still be wanted! To the other guy who mentioned 1/60, I'm totally with you! Yamato Low-Viz, first in the new and improved 1/60 series featuring all the 1/48 features (removable nose-cone with radar, flaps, telescoping feet and semi-"perfect" transformation)... Or at least make 'em as standard 1/60 VF-1A's but make it a 4-pack... 1x 1J and 3 1A... Ok ok, I'll have to look for an old used Hikaru 1A or two and paint it. But yeah. Oh, and if Yamato were to make this, it should definitely be a "limited edition," although I'm unclear as to the meaning of this, it looks really neat on the box. Supposedly, no one had a clue that there would even be such a thing and distributor demand was pretty low.... but don't take this post as the gospel truth.
