I got a 5.8 with a 2.83 GHz Q9550, 8 gigs DDR2 RAM, a 150 Gb Raptor 10.000 RPM HD and a 512 Mb Quadro FX3700 all of which is way slower than your monster system. Does it run apps and games at speeds you want them too? If it does, screw the performance index.

Congrats on the new cam! What lens is that? Looks a lot like a EFS 17-85 but the red dot tells me it has an EF mount.

Two 295s? When you switch on your pc, do the light levels in your town go down for a couple of seconds? I used to have a USB wireless card (D-link DWL-AG132) and it sucked! It disconnected for no apperent reason every couple of hours. Damn thing cost me the company I work for € 80! Nothing beats a wired gigabit network.

Lol! I did take a pic like that but the big a$$ Dutch license plate on the Lambo screwed up the whole shot. I would've asked the owner to move it back a little, but he had blown up the engine just a half hour before I took the pic and wasn't in too good a mood.

Got an all acces pass to go to an Italian car event yesterday and thought I'd share some pics. ::EDIT:: I also got to join the pacecar-driver in his Audi S4 Quatro for a few laps. Dang those S4s go fast! Now I understand why they put bucket seats in those things. The guy doesn't have to pay the bill if he wrecks the car so he doesn't feel like he has to be extra carefull going around the track. Those boys really push those cars to their limits, we were overtaking all the exotics and watching the faces of the other drivers while we were doing it was loads of fun!

Which reminds me..I haven't shown off my baby yet. Get the 70-200 before going full frame. With Canon's 1.6x crop factor you'll have a 112-320 mm which you'll probably preffer to use on the 450D anyway, even when owning a full frame body.

Drooool! May I ask why you went with the 17-40? a 16-35 will give you wider angle and less overlap with the 24-70. *checks prices*...never mind. I managed to arrange a VIP pass to a trackday with Italian sportscars for next monday. I should be able to get some nice shots there.

Get the 50D. The extra LCD screen on top will give you loads of extra battery time. Also, if you have big hands like me, it's fit your hand better. The 28-70 L lens was replaced by a 24-70 mm version a couple of years ago. If the 24-70 is too expensive, why not get the 24-105 f4?
