jasonkimberson
ya i just picked up a set at frank and sons for 35 bucks, there are 5 boxes and each contain a piece to create the sercet figure. They are about the size of the mission figures and come with a little base platform they all look kinda dirty though to add battle damage i guess. haven't taken pictures yet, but can if someone requests them. fearyaks
JK ^ I think he's referring to a set of TOMY diorama Star Wars statues.... I too have them and they look better (I like them then the plastic ones... that are out there that JK referred to). If you take a look on eBay for them, you'll see some detailed pictures. Mechleader
Tomy released SW stuff and I wanted to know if they are the same scale. Not like I'm going for that. I just want a reference.
CID
For those that had or have the TOMY kit. What is the size of Monster (Length and height)? Is it nice for display piece? Thanks in advance.
fearyaks
From barrel to barrel it's about 4 1/4 inches. From ground to the top of the snout (not including the cannons) it's about 2 1/2 inches. I'll try and get some pics up in a bit.
fearyaks
Here they are. Sorry about the poor quality as I just threw these together. In the first one, there's a Toynami MPC, and two of those plastic minatures...Gashapon (officer's battlepod and Miryia) for comparison. In image 2 we've got my 1/48 in the background and my 1/60 to the right for size comparisons... If you want the full sized images go here and here. CID
Thanks for the pics. I guess, I am going to give in and get several sets. Why can some other companies make Monsters that are nice looking and around 9 inches or so long......
fearyaks
I dunno if you were referring to something else, but the TOMY Monster is only ~ 4.25 inches long
CID
No, I was just saying why cant other companies make one that is 9" tall or larger.
fearyaks
You know, I promised myself the other day that I would stay away from the crack. I need to remind myself to read someone's full post, comprehend it, put the crack pipe down, and respond like a normal individual.
