I slid the thing along the whole length of the slot and tried pulling on it andthe battery case wouldn't come out. Do I just need to use more force? I don't want to break the thing. Limbo Posted February 22, 2004 Share Posted February 22, 2004 I don't think the gray case is supposed to come out. You can just pull the matrix with a toothpick or something. If you read the instructions, it says the following under how to change the battery section: "1. Slide battery case out of slots."
