I'm just curious if there is anything that can be done about the time restrictions applied to the search functions.  I can understand there being limits on making new searches, but the time limit applies to any function applied to an already completed one.

Every time I need to perform a search, it seems like I'm slamming my face against my desk trying to actually view what it found, because I can't change pages, can't sort by date, can't really do anything with the results.

I understand if that's just a forum software limit, so maybe that's something to take up with the developers (or something that might get fixed in a future update), but this behavior just feels baffling.

Can you provide me a specific search example and what you are wanting to see vs what you actually see?
Do you mean you can't do more than X number of searches in a 30s or something? That might be configurable in the setup

ah...I think you mean this?
instead of every 10s I'll make it every 10 weeks lol, that'll help for sure.

Late reply, but yep, whatever you changed looks like it did the trick.

I think you could reasonably set it at a lower number of seconds, the issue was just that the search time limits were actually preventing you from even exploring the search results that had already been returned.

Say I was looking for a specific topic, and searched for a keyword, but it returned multiple pages of topics, and it wasn't on the first page, the time limits were preventing the user from going to the next page of results too quickly.

I don't quite know how the search logic of the forum software behaves, but the behavior I was seeing was that it was treating every action on the search results as a new search.  I couldn't just move to page 2 of the results it already pulled, it was treating it more like you were just re-performing the search, and returning page 2 instead of page 1.
