skullmilitia
Author is confused, and thinks Bandai can't make SDFM toys in Japan LOL. There is nothing here to support any change in worldwide licensing. Unless someone finally told BW that HG is a bag of dicks, nothing is changing. Brand-X
Thing about Forbes online articles is that they're often barely above the quality standards of blog posts. There doesn't seem to be much editorial oversight or fact checking, and the author seems to have little other than speculation to go on. technoblue
I don't think the author is confused so much as he is letting his excitement for the topic run the story. A pure news article would have concentrated on Bandai's exhibit, and maybe given a brief history of Macross to the Forbes on-line audience. I can see some of that in this article, but then (as Brand-X notes) it falls into speculation and opinion without any quotations or references. That part is interesting, but no more or less than any of the "what-if" forum post that have appeared here on Macross World. I will say that it's nice seeing more Macross trickle into the mainstream. Yeah, definitely a lot of speculation, but it seemed that the author was definately a fan. I just thought it was neat to see an article about macross on a mainstream U.S. Website. Kanedas Bike
Yeah, definitely a lot of speculation, but it seemed that the author was definately a fan. I just thought it was neat to see an article about macross on a mainstream U.S. Website. And I thought it was neat too, despite the nature of the article (fan, speculation, similarities to blog, etc.). -b.
