Virgin Galactic space Ship 2 has crashed during a test flight!

The Virgin Galactic test flight crash is tragic news, and coming right on the coat tails of the Antares crash makes for a hard dose of reality in one short week for the space industry. My thoughts go out to the families and friends of both test pilots. And on a more personal level, my heart aches in empathy for the pilot we lost in the manned flight. That wasn't easy to hear...

Expanding mankind's horizons will not be cheap, easy, or clean; blood will be spilled, but it will be the price we pay to move forward. Those pilots and their people are pioneers for sure...

Preliminarily They are looking at some of the controls that control the feathering of the tail they have said that the engine did not malfunction that those parts where still intact.
