Dear Mr. Watterson is a documentary film that follows the history of artist Bill Watterson, and how his comic series Calvin and Hobbes influenced generations of readers and comic book artists.

The film is set for a wide release on November 15.

Bill Watterson never gave in to mainstream media, so no animated or live-action adaptation of Calvin and Hobbes exists. But here's a cool fan-made animated short.
