Checkmate
I know, I'm 2 or 3 years late in building this kit. Has anyone have had any problems with the decals that came with the kit? IMO it's like applying Vinyl stickers to a plastic model kit. I used Solvaset, and the stuff just rolls of the stickers surface! Has anybody encountered this problem? Solutions? MechTech
I haven't used those decals myself, but for the stubborn ones, I've used Solvaset under the decal and then on top. That and giving it a little time to absorb in; sometimes giving it multiple coats. I hope that helps! - MT
Checkmate
I'll try that. Thanks, MT!
PetarB
Like MechTech, I've experimented with under and over with good effect. Decals can vary widely, however, so I advise you to test a smaller one first. I have 'melted' decals this way, so caution is advised. joscasle
Hasegawa decals have improve in the last 4 years or so. The decals that came with the late 90's until 2008 were terrible!!! The Yf-19 are not that bad, well at least for me
