And now for something completely different

It all started when I saw this illustration in "This is Animation Special:Macross Plus". It looked so cool, I just had to build it.

At first, I was going to build the 1/48 as it, but I didn't have the correct scale of UN Air Force markings (and my one try at making custom decals was a disaster). So I grabbed the Hasegawa VF-1A Super Battroid I had, and used that instead. I was kind of fun figuring out the fighter cammo pattern as a battroid.

The Regult in the target scope I also got from TIAS:MP. Done on a mailing label :(

The kit came with a J head as well, so when I get bored I can switch it out.

That is crazy different! Where did you get the big round Regult decal from? Is that a custom one? Very nice!

I scanned it out of the back of of This Is Animation Special:Macross Plus. Lots of good alternate squadron marking to be had in that book! Problem is, my one attempt at making a custom decal sucked horribly, so I had to print that onto a mailing label, and hope for the best. If anyone is interested in the image I used, let me know, and I'll post it here.

AND, if anyone is interested in doing a guy a favor, I may have some decal work, if I provide the scans. B))
