I think Sketchely is right with his point about the 45 degree tail section of the VE-1/VT-1.

On this screenshot of DYRL? you can see Hikaru's VT-1 in Gerwalk with its tail section as close as possible to the ventral hull.

Ah, I see, sorry Sketchley, I must have glanced over that. Backpack is angled up to give the canopy space to extend upward. Very interesting that that was the way SK chose to go with that one.

I have never liked that aspect of the VT design (along with uber lame head), VF-1D for FTW.
