Zentrandude Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 her manager wants to make money so he/she got her gigs in other anime.
ly000001 Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 I have recently bought a Mospeada book (KikoSoseiki Mospeada / MeiBamen Color Graffitti), and... we find Minmay on a page !Someone knows why ? Detail: Thanks The first paragraph says "'Mospeada' is popular even in China!", so that may have something to do with it.
JValk Posted February 11, 2005 Posted February 11, 2005 rats someone last year told me exactly where that minmay logo came from - something like, the minmay with dragon logo was used by the GBP-1 squadron. it's in the database somewhere. anyhow to see this squadron pop up in mospeada is funny.
jipe Posted February 11, 2005 Author Posted February 11, 2005 So Lynn Minmay is so popular that she decides to play in other movies.... ??!
mechaninac Posted February 11, 2005 Posted February 11, 2005 Maybe this is a HG conspiracy; after all, in Robotech (dodges empty bottles of booze hurled from the audience) Macross and Mospeada belong (oh the blasphemy) in the same universe.
JValk Posted February 11, 2005 Posted February 11, 2005 (edited) FOUND IT! http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...minmay+squadron So if you want, just grab any valk decal sheet, take it from there, stick it on a mospeada, and you're one of the inside elite! BTW Egan Loo's last word was that the logo was made by ARTMIC, and it wasn't associated with an Armoured Valk platoon as previously thought by Nanashi. In other words, we still don't know - unless it really is for the special Minmay Mospeada squad of Macross lol. Edited February 11, 2005 by JValk
jipe Posted February 12, 2005 Author Posted February 12, 2005 Hmmm, Interesting ! So we don't really know where this logo come from (ARTMIC or Miyatake ?), and less what's the connection between this logo and Mospeada ! (Propaganda ?!!) Anyway, it's a beautiful logo. It would be interesting to see it on a VF1 Fastpack at the place of the skull logo.
_hayase Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 hello In Jipe's pict, I try to translate Japanese into English. So Answer is there, in first sentense. That is trick of a memeber of "studio ARTMIC". He drew a Mospida painting and named in Chinese, and Squardron mark is refered to Macross ones. Therefore In China, Mospida is mistaken and mixed between Macross and Mospida...He try to teach us Japanese in a trick on a magazine. It is his humour...I think more refer... http://kyoto.cool.ne.jp/megaroad04/mark.jpg
jipe Posted February 14, 2005 Author Posted February 14, 2005 Thank you _hayase. So just a joke/mistake... funny! and thanks for the link. The logos can be found in the Macross Hobby book. Think it's official but I 've never seen some models with.
Skull00 Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 Hayase has a great link there. Lots of nice Squadron markings/regalia. Really interesting. Some of them are just wierd like the Monster 'My Baby' marking - a sign of the early '80s Japanese "Lolicom boom" as documented in Otaku no Video???
JValk Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 hmm very interesting that that Minmay squad logo was on my VF-1A DYRL reissue decal sheet - but where was the rest of those crazy logos?
Solscud007 Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 could you take a higer res scan or picture of that logo?
JValk Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 could you take a higer res scan or picture of that logo? I high res color pic of that logo is at the bottom of this page - http://kyoto.cool.ne.jp/megaroad04/mark.jpg
_hayase Posted February 17, 2005 Posted February 17, 2005 > could you take a higer res scan or picture of that logo? Now I try to find out which page this decal is shown on a magazine... I scanned this marks two years ago,so I do not remember name of magazine, number , and page...
