GobotFool Posted September 16, 2003 Share Posted September 16, 2003 Gah! for some reason all the glue decided to give out on my 1/48s, the landing lights and the small lil fins at the bottom of the nosecone fusilage all decided to give out at once what kind of glue does yamato use to secure these in place? Actually, my 1/48 Hikaru came with a couple of lose panels (on the right wing) which I put right back on with some Crazy Glue. Also, my 1/48 Roy came with a lose panel on the right leg......... Montarvillois Posted September 16, 2003 Share Posted September 16, 2003 I actually used Humbrol liquid polycement to glue the large missiles that came with the fastpack to their pylons since they always fell and it did an excellent (and invisible) job. Macross Junky Posted September 16, 2003 Share Posted September 16, 2003 (edited) I'd use PVA (white glue) for the landing gear lights. Super glue, if you use too much, or it oozes out of the seam you are re-joining can "frost" the clear plastic and ruin the piece. The red landing gear door light on my Max 1/48 is doing the same thing. Gonna zap it tonight before I lose it... Super glue should work fine for the fins. williwoods Posted September 16, 2003 Share Posted September 16, 2003 I have been using zap a gap glue solely on my 1/48 and specifcally on the landing lights and the A head on hikaru and works fine.
