  1. What preview do you mean? For chapter 7? I can only post that when Bandai Channel puts the movie up for sale which is about 10 to 15 days before the Blu-Rays come out so... about another month. I also have that Andromeda model and the only reason i haven't built it yet is because it just seems a bit disproportionate, too short for the height it has, the mechakore model has better proportions. Still, i will eventually get to it, though comparing it to the 2199 models, it seems so bland i'd like to add a bit of surface detail to it. If were lucky enough to get a Yamato 2201, i'm sure an awesome model will come out. But even if 2201 doesn't come to pass, i think Bandai should go with the flow and just get some models of season 2 out, with redesigned features. Not as detailed as i would have liked and that much is what everyone had already figured out would happen. XD But thanks, just the same.
  2. The Meranka is 7.7m long with a wing span of 19.4m In case you wonder where i got the measurements, i got them from the Vol.0 Yamato Crew Premium Fan Club Magazine, the only one i was lucky enough to obtain so far.
  3. That statement surprised me. I always thought this was doing extremely well...
  4. Since no totally clean version of the 2nd TV Ed scroll has surfaced, i took it upon myself to make one. And, man, this one took some work. After getting the video in high quality and making as many screencaps as necessary to stitch it together, came the fidly task of getting rid of all the text, which in places, due to the movement of the ships, requires more than just puting images together. I'm quite happy with the result, i hope you all like it too.
  5. 40$ for one of the singles is too much indeed. Even the actual soundtrack is less than that... I got the soundtrack and the first 3 singles but i got the singles mostly for the cover art. XD Can't wait for the second CD to come out... Damned delay.
  6. 8 minute preview, with better video quality, from Bandai Channel. http://youtu.be/U2A5GD8_Rzo
  7. Desler might know but the infiltrators might not. Also, given the resemblance between Yuki and Yurisha, and the fact the team is inside an enemy ship and, apparently, being shot at, they might not. Another way for the infiltrators to get on board I gotta take my medication...badly... XD
  8. Sorry for quoting myself... XD This has actually been cleared up with the new clip, as we see those "crew members" are 2nd class Garmillans. I came up with an insane theory that i've already posted in other places to get a pulse on it. Here it is:
  9. AS IF THE NEW, LONGER EDIT OF THE TRAILER WASN'T ENOUGH TO HAVE US IN A FRENZY... THE 1ST ACT OF EPISODE 19 IS UP!!! I'M GOING TO FREAKIN' BURST!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KP4ExOJzyNE
  10. Chapter 6 Trailer - Subbed version The subtitles were made from direct dialogue translation by fellow fan "Hoshi Ban" and english text revision by me. There may be some errors here and there but overall i think it's sound. Feel free to pitch in any corrections. http://youtu.be/qv4VAJ3LADk
  11. I don't think they're mutineers, since there is a guy wearing a Garmillan uniform. My theory:
  12. When you say bulge in the nose, in the dorshiira, what are you refering to? Because that thing protruding from underneath is a torpedo.
  13. The tank is coming with the Gaiderol+Kriptera set, bringing the total in the set to 4 craft. As for your question, any answer is purely speculative. Though they use the data collected in episode 10 to modify the ships systems for subspace detection and to build those sonar buoys, the dimensional rift might be a different dimension from the one used by the UX-01, just with similar basic characteristics. If it was the exact same thing, not only would the UX-01 suffer power loss but it wouldn't be able to return to normal space. My more nerdy take on it is that the rift in episode 10 is a anomalous, self contained pocket of subspace separated from normal space by what they call the dimensional boundary layer. It is in this dimensional boundary layer that the UX-01 navigates, without actually crossing it. It can also be seen like our oceans, down to a certain depth the ship does fine, cross that and there's trouble.
  14. Update on the Mechanics page at yamato2199.net First one is not that much of an update since it's just the Imperial Guard recolored version of the Polmeria Carrier But then things get really interesting. First the long awaited Gerbades Class Battle-Carrier, named Darold (The Lord?!) followed by the command section of the Domelaze III (the saucer ship) And finally, the piece-de-resistance, the support craft for the Rainbow Star Cluster carrier group: DWG109 - Debakke (2 types) DMB87 - Sunuka (2 types) FWG97 - Dorshiira (2 types) And finally, the Garont Heavy Bomber + Drill Missile
  15. The UX-01 is at 1/1000 scale. It is really just a case that, despite its awesomeness, it is a relativelly small craft. They could add an FS Torpedo Boat, as it appears docked with the UX-01 in the latest trailer. :-D
  16. Niimi isn't in the shot... i guess you mean nurse Makoto Harada? The subtitles spelled it Domelaze... strangely enough, i preffer that spelling. XD Who else? By the way, here's the video for the closing sequence. And i do mean video, as the audio track was disabeled by youtube. XD Watch it before they take it down. http://youtu.be/-jbvdLXHhhI
  17. Just saw the new ending sequence for the TV broadcast. The new song is bit too upbeat for Yamato but still nice. But the real gem is the new scroll. Asamiya has done another amazing piece of art: You can also check out Rei Yasuda's facebook page for a short version video of the song. https://www.facebook.com/yasudareiofficial Editorial Note: The previous post regarding this subject contained a link to a site with images of the sequence. Unfortunately the site had some regretable content, of which i was unaware. I therefore removed the post and humbly apoligize to everyone.
  18. That Gwyn Campbell is one lucky fan... right, "Tochiro"?! Informative as always.
  19. Ouch, that sucks. Mine still on the way, so i'm really glad the episodes are already on the web. I think i would burst into flames if i had to wait for it to get here.
  20. They're lucky Okita took command when he did, in episode 15, as he rescinded the launch order, realizing that would happen if they tried to launch them. Love that Okita calls them Hayabusa. Nice historical reference, there.
  21. We have seen that in chapter 4. That hanger uses the same system to launch and retrieve its craft. What we haven't seen until now is how they recover either the Zero's or the Falcons. Maybe during the massive battle that is coming in episodes 19 and 20... Have you noticed that the Falcons have not been used for actual combat since episode 6? Except for Yamamoto's unauthorized launch in episode 11, they've been nicely packed in their hangar. I rewatch the whole thing after each new volume. You end up seing thing in a very different perspective. A fine example, in episode 4, when Sanada is saluting the Yukikaze, old time fans knew his motivation, but now those that haven't seen the original, know too. But what really gains a new significance in that scene is Niimi standing in the back. Before, i thought she was just hovering over her beloved sensei...but after episode 17...well, there's a whole new reason for her to be there. And this is true for many other things along the previous releases, from Ito's actions to Hoshina's, the whole auto-pilot room thing... so many layers that begin to shine with every new episode... That's what makes this an awesome show.
