I'd like to know if all the haters have actualy had the chance to build or see the model in hand, hehehe
Mine is coming, I'll try to have a review when I finish it

looks kinda cool to me!

Why is the movie Quarter filed under civilian instead of SMS? Is it because of the existence of other Quarter classes in the movie?
on Deagostini site they ask forgiveness for the mistake, it should have an SMS logo.

If the ankles can indeed move more than that, then this kit may be worth a try.
-
Seriously, ID1 was crap of the mightiest sort. Seen from the old continent, it looked even crappier. And aliens with Windows 95? Puhleaze!
I like fish too.

Nicely built kit, but that still can't change the fact that this thing is awfully wrong in many ways. Sunken head, huge chest plate, long nose, large gap in hip, tiny shoulders/legs.... someone already fixed those problems years ago.
Except that 1/60 got some things better and other things awfully wrong. I still prefer 1/48s to this day, even if I own more 1/60s v2 than 1/48s

The cover of the overly-delayed "Katare! Macross" book that I think we talked about ages and ages ago has finally been revealed, with Tenjin goodness.
Comes out on the 27th.
black heatshield is extra cool. What is this book?

I confess I don't see where all this excitement comes from. Third version of a toy from the same company? No, thanks. Between this and Bandai's renewal series I wander what modern toys designers are paid for...
...
Obviously, I'll end up buying one nonetheless !!!

Looking back at all the cads images and the prototypes, I have to say that 50% of the ugliness of this kit is due to the inability of those who did the display to pose the thing correctly. The same goes for Yamato toys: after all these years, they still haven't figured out how to correctly pose the VF1 v2 shoulders!!!

So it's Miku, I presume.

Awesome, you're the man! Thanks a lot

Next, he'll make a post about his nutty idea of "re-telling" the entire SDFM story so it is more inline with the rest of the "Macross Franchise" (there is more Macross?!?!?)....Crazy right? It'll never happen!!! He'll get banned permanently the second he brings up introducing "time travel" to the story!
BTW...just noticed that the arm "armor" looks different too....hope Arcadia does something with these designs.....
I sincerely hope NOT.
By the way, where does that fabulous avatar image of yours come from?
-
Macross Perfect Memory. I'll get to it after I finish the Misa novella and the Misa drama album.
sounds interesting ("the genius falls" thing, I mean). As for the asteroid cracker, could it be the thing Mikimoto showed in MThe First (the destroids on the asteroid etc...)?
-
Asteroid CRACKER, you mean.
And I'm still wondering about Episode 50 (or 46, depending)... "The Genius Falls."
Where does this come from?
-
Ermm, no, really, someone would buy that custom, even if it was legit?
Rethorical question, obviously, judging from this thread!

Complete:
Mechanic: F NUNS 01A: Macross Frontier: http://sketchleystats.webatu.com/Trans/MCRmechanic/MCRmechanic.php#MF
- some new bits of info, and I'm glad that it regurgitates the info that the ship is really composed of 6 smaller ships (something that I thought I must've translated in error when I did the Great Mechanics.DX article a few years back). And to top it off, there's an explanation on the opening of the gun barrel before firing gimmick.
ER/RM++ project:
Timeline 16A: "Shao Pai Long [Little White Dragon]" Premieres: http://sketchleystats.webatu.com/Trans/MCRtimeline/MCRtimeline.php
- slapped up in php. No changes in the two editions - they didn't even fix the typo!
Obviously one questions the necessity of having a stealth starship attacched to a monstruosely huge non-stealth cityscape, but whatever...
-
Nope, it's still dark gray.
: (
Thanks anyway Gubaba. I guess I'll just have to correct it myself (when I'll have two VF17 sheets, I can alter the "spare" one without fear of ruining it).
I guess the vf19 will have the wrong face color too. A pity, since they corrected the color in subsequents sheets (B or C) of the old chronicle.
-
Now that issue #18 is out, can someone tell me if the VF17 nightmare's 17s face color has been corrected? In the M7 episodes sheets it still apears with the wrong color, so I fear they didn't catch this error. 'would be a pity, since they made tons of small corrections to the mecha sheets.
By the way, my first 15 issues arrived two days ago and all in all - I wasn't really convinced - I'm pleased to be doing this thing AGAIN : )
If and when I have some spare time I'll post all the visual changes between first ed. and revided ed. that I could find, so those of you still on the verge can decide if they want to add to their collection by buying only specific issues.
-
Do you know in which issue of the "old" Macross Chronicle was the VF-0A battroid used on the cover? Or was it one of the fold-out illustrations inside one of the issues?
Issue #34, fold out sheet. The cover sported Ranka (ugh....)
