  1. just wanna share this wonderfully made macross valkyrie collection, made by chara-works decals are waterslide, pain in the #$@ to apply, but worth the effort.. given its size. size comparison 1/100 (toynami) * 1/200 (yamato) * 1/144 scale (charaworks) for its size, the accuracy to detail is great minmay guard vf1s
  2. just wanna share my recent haul this oct 2009.. i got this badly yellowed original jetfire from a teenager who doesnt even know its name or value..her mom just kept it ontop of a cabinet covered with plastic wraps for years! its badly yellowed, but nevertheless, its complete, hinges still firm, accessories intact.. now mingling with his cousin..
  3. i have this 2nd release.. to me,its money well spent.. no worries of yellowing, cracking.. co'z its cheap.. plus it offers great poseability.. with strike parts they look great on valkyrie modes.. but in battroid its a pain cause the weight of the booster packs is to heavy for the toy to stand up without falling.. my 6 year old son plays with it.. (instead of my yamato).. just right for his little hands.. heres what i did for the boosters keep on dismantling itself.. i glued gun it.. viola! instant stiffening! plus you can always easily remove the glue and re-apply it again and again. heres my 1/100s.. i really like em in valkyrie mode, screw the battroid mode
  4. may i ask how old are you? maybe you didnt get the point of the threadstarter. we both have yamatos v2 1/60... i do love it in every angle.. but as we say.. you cannot replace the happiness of the chunkies the we grow old with. if youre a 90s,2k kid.. clearly you wont understand.
  5. can you help me guys, how do i make/have a superstrike parts for my vf-1s on this game? ive seen some pics of this game that has super strike parts on the valkyries.. just for the macross SDF, not for zero, plus, frontier..
  6. very well said. no amount of advancement (details, tampo printing, etc) can replace the experience of an adult that has grown up with this chunkies.. i guess only the 80's people who grew up with the toy will be the one to really relate to the experience.
  7. my son is a 6 year old.. he's very careful with ithough he complains on the weight asks if he can borrow my yamatos' .. hahah.. yup the gunpod missile point and shoot is a no-no for kids
  8. have yamatos too...but like you.. theres really something about the chunkies that i really like so much.. plus always the memories of my childhood of the 80s is tickling my senses everytime i play with it. heres mine so far.. and the ratchet clicks are just great to hear.
  9. have yamatos.. but this one is my favorite ever original mold..
  10. is there a way to get the large images from yamato site (photo zoomer)?
  11. thank you very much for sharing the toys history.. thumbs up for the priceless effort
  12. im greatly honored to see the owner of the pics replying here in my thread.. my hats off to you sir! such great hands and great shots as well i had this pic for a very long time.. not to mention my inspiration to collect chunkies.. just im deeply puzzled how you where able to spread out (hehe sorry if ive sead split) the legs of MM..for 3 years or so.. now i know how youve done it and the hands too.. very great.. can i guess you made this mods/pics long before yamato made the v1 or v2 toys? just awesome
  13. is this a bandai, takatoku ..? sorry im just new to it just saw this one on the net a long time ago, i kept it on my hardrive for its such a nice thing to look at.. my full acknowledgement to the owner of this pic... 18. thanks mate. i made a mod out of the two missles .. originally they are too far apart.. thats why i glued em close looks good isnt it? i was just wondrin why toynami has to weather out (weathering) the VF-1S hikaru final battle variant.
