Sorry buddy...I feel your pain...I was working on my TV...stood up qick, and banged my head into the bottom of a display shelf...launching my 1/48 Max into space. I would have thought Gerwalk mode was a good choie(perhaps land on its feet) but it spun upside down and landed on a metal weight on the floor....bang...cracked canopy...doh! Suprisingly...despite a 6' fall...the restsurvived....ailerons poped off, armements strewn about...but nothing broken. (the missiles actually seperated from their clusters due to force...but didn't break... )

BTW,,,I contacted HLJ for replacement parts.,...they said "

Yamato has contacted us about your parts order.

UnfortunatelyC1/48 VF-1 MAX from your parts order is not available.A mAX

They have no schedule to re-produce it in the near future.

man...looks nice..I wish they had released the 1/60 Strike as a Hikaru...ahh well...

The one on Yahoo Japan didn't have the fast pack kit...and I think (if I remewmber correctly) it was started being built...(just a little) It went for like $290 US. I almost bid....but then my wallet talked me out of it.

BTW...thanks for sharing your kit Carl...wow....someday we need you to photograph them all...(okay some weekend..you get the idea! )

My first Yammie was a VF1S. I had just stumbled onto all the Valkyrie reissues...and after months of debate talked my wife into getting me a Bandai VF1J Hikaru ...it was all I needed...just one...then I saw the Yammie in anime shop in NYC. The salesmen let me hold it and said "The Bandai reissues are nice for toys...but the Yamato's are nicer....more accurate..." The rest of the words were lost...I was hooked...I bought it for $125 (same prob as you Melissa! )...it was all I needed....1 Bandai...and 1 Skull Leader...I was alll set.... Yep...about 50 Valks later I only shake my head!

Unless I am crazy the Studio Halfeye VF11 did make it to production. There was even one for sale on Yahoo Japan a couple months ago. Its no longer in production....and its small and delicate...(no landing gear) but....its otherwise very cool! There is a fast pack and armor kit for it thats sold seperatly as well.

WOW! Looks great WM!!! With the metalizer...did you have to buff it, or do anything special to bring out such a nice shine???

I would imagine some of it is rights, some of it is their speciality. Hasegawa is well known for jets....to do the VF1 was a bit of a stretch...to turn it into a battroid...a bit more. I think they will get to other things eventually (I would love to see them) but we need to be patient and give them time. Right now they are maximizing their investment in the VF molds...in time Im sure we'll see more.

The stars indicate decals that have to be applied at that step. For example, you have to apply the decal on top of the pilot's seat in step one, because you won't be able to do so after you put the canopy on, which you do in step two.

When applying decals do not run cold water on the entire sheet of decals. (Just explained this to my 7 year old son, so I thought I would share the wisdom! )

I like my FP 21. I have it in battroid mode, though it looks nicer in Fighter. Its a little purple, true, but I don't get all the fuss....you guys all primp around like a bunch of old maids....cope.

I was going to change my name....but I'm to lazy to think up something cool....ahh well...
