  1. Did Jesse also buy the Booster *Launch Rail? and if so, will it also be (re)produced? I might be tempted to go for another Booster if the *Launch Rail comes with it like a combo kit, of course I expect the price would go up.

This would also mean I would need  2 Booster Launch Vehicles, that's right, 2...

    Mike? oooh MiiIIIIiiike?

*Booster Launch Rail, not to be confused with Jesse's other Launch Arm project  well... they both say "launch", might confuse some

Hey all, to be clear I did not buy any of the booster masters. I just offered to help cast them. It make sense as after doing the ones I did once I think I have some pretty good ideas on how to do it even better then the first run.

  2. Got my box of 12 figures from HLJ today. Actually pretty fast shipping for once for HLJ.

2 of every standard figure, but no chase Max DYRL pilot figure :(

I like the Minmay & Isamu figs the best. I actually think the Isamu face sculpt is quite good.

(Edited the topic title from 'M COLLECTION' to 'CM'S COLLECTION').

DOH! I always assumed if you got a box you got a chase (I did on the first 2 sets) I sure hope I get Max...he and Isamu are about the only pieces I wanted in the first place...

  3. Okay all....Good news is the molds are done, the first couple kits are done, and I should be ramping up casting over the next couple days as I figure out the best way to do this kit. Gundamhead will be doing all of the sales for this, but I think he was waiting on me to post, so I figured I would get the ball rolling. A full kit with everything shown in this thread (arm, signal arm, base ) will be $65 +SH. We will do 2 arms for $110 for a limited time for MW members (which saves on shippping and arm costs! ). I know this is an expensive price, but it's a lot of pieces, and a lot of resin...not to mention a lot of work by GHead. Everything is cast in high quality resin with only paintable mold release, so cleanup will be easy... all long arm parts have embedded brass for strength.

Ill post a link in for sale here

    http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=16293

Please reply to that thread if your interested in purchasing and reply here with questions. Gundamhead, Im sure, will start a list in the for sale section. Our plan is to only take money for the ones about to ship, so right now you just need to sign up. I would guess the first batch of 10 arms will be ready to go in a week or 2, and then probably about 5 to 10 arms a week depending on our time. Once the initial run is done these may go away...(no threat...just want to be fair as I am busy with some other projects too)

    Cheers all!

  4. If it helps, I recently have started having good success with a simple packing method....wrap the model in tissue, then more tissue, then small bubble wrap, then larger bubble wrap (taping every layer) Then fill a MUCH larger box with popcorn with the bubble package burried in the middle. If the outside box is really large and filled with popcorn it seems to make it through much better. Obviousley, courier is better, but just in case this helps....

  5. Hi all, i'm new to this forum joined just today.

Nice with all the images, kits and info.

But can anyone tell me where i can get (online) a high quality model kit of the YF 19 from Macross Plus.  If it had the ability to transform/change modes (fighter - gerwalk - battloid) modes after being assembled, kinda like the transformer toys we played as a child, it would be great.  Otherwise i will buy 3 high quality and highly detailed kits (not pre-painted or pre-assembled) that each give a different mode of the YF 19. Thanks all, i wanna hear ur recommendations of what kits r the best and what i should buy. E-mail me.

Your best bet would be the IHP or SHE resin YF19. This is the best quality bast transformation model out there (IMO) It's also going to cost you a lot. The SHE 19 is probably $250 or more. The IHP, more then that (and very rare) Best bet to buy one would be to post in the wanted section and watch Ebay.

Next best thing? The Yamato 1/72 YF19 is a nice toy. You could paint and customize it.

Otherwise...the Hasegawa YF19 shows up...that covers your fighter mode model. There is a 1/100 and 1/72nd scale Wave YF19 battroid kit. Not sure about gerwalk though...

  6. I hope (think) that SMT doesn't own the masters...I think (similar to Alfred) that Gundamhead leased them to SMT for SMT's use. If thats the case then Gundamhead would be getting a per kit charge...which is the basis for my anger. You see, if SMT bought the masters outright, didn't produce them, and closed their doors...well, then Gundamhead got his money. We the fan hurt, but its not an outrage...its business. On the other hand, if SMT took the masters for little or no money down with a committment to pay Gundamhead a fee per kit sold...then took years to get around to doing the kit finding all sorts of other things to do instead...and when they finally had it ready closed up shop...well even if Gundamhead gets his money back he will never have those years back...Macross was way more popular 2 years ago (during the surge) then it is now...based on my guess SMT cost Gundamhead a lot of money....and then after all that to make him start over (even though I love SSM) well, I think that stinks.

  7. Ah! Thanks! He was still acting like he new him well though, recognizing him almost immediately.

I would guess (and it's only a guess) that Apollo knew him from before the show. He seemed to know some folks on Galactica and we know that he was close with Starbuck. Starbuck spent a lot of time with Helo and Boomer (back on Caprica she commented on how he was always after Boomer) so I would guess that they knew each other from before the start of the series.

  8. Jesse got the orthogravic renderings from a Zoic guy and I made the blueprints and plotted out the flats for the wings.  John did all of the figuring out from there.  A LOT of figuring out.  That interior really floored me.  I had no idea that he was holding back on us for so long.

    322375[/snapback]

LOL! He always does that...I always notice his builds go like this:

    1st update - oh...yeah...neat idea

2nd update - hoo-humm...looks like chunks of that funky balsa he uses and some styrene..

    3rd update - yeah...I can kinda see the shape...neat

4th update (queue eairy music from the heavens and beams of sunshine! )

Thanks again for the work with the blueprints Coby! It would not have been possible without you!!!! (now if only I could get Anasazi to agree to do decals!! )

  9. I gotta agree with Major Johnathan....I understand that its a drama, and you want your main characters to be the focus, but I'd like to see a little less of Starbuck and Apollo on infantry missions. I'll buy the suprise problem (like Cylons on board and everyone is seperated, ship systems are done, so your just running around with a gun) but I didn't like Starbuck as a Sniper on Cloud 9, and I didn't like Apollo on the Raptor to save the Chief. Apollo flying in a Viper as CAP for the Raptor? Sure.... Anyways...it doesn't really bug me, but I think they have killed enough minor characters to bring a couple new Marines and such to the forefront for some episodes.

  10. Hey all!

I just wanted to share some pictures of Captain America's latest work. A while back I started bugging him about mastering a Raptor from the new BSG for me. After much arm twisting John relented to take on the project. (he knew, I think, I was not going to stop bugging him! ;) ) She will be in 1/24th scale (scale with my TOS Studio Viper) with a fully detailed cockpit, pilots, the works. These are the latest pictures and I thought some of the BSG fans would enjoy her.

She is still about a month away from completion, but the Captains work always floors me! Such talent!!!!

    Hope you like!
