I wonder if there is a slight delay between the japanese and english version of the page. Even if it's just seconds, the stock could be depleted before anyone on the english site has a chance to purchase. Probably off base but maybe true if no one here got one?

This is awesome news since I've been trying to get one for a few years for a reasonable price. I've been trying to hunt down news about this re-release but can't seem to find anything. I'm hoping they release the blue version as well. Anyone in the know?

Wow i thought it was bad over here in the middle of BC at -15 to -18 this week.

I know why I was having so much trouble getting the chest low enough to lock. One of the die-cast hinge pieces connecting the backpack to the bottom of the body has been assembled backwards. I thought it looked a little odd so I compared it with the one on my Fire Valk and yes, it's the wrong way round. Tiny fractions of centimeters really make a world of difference when you consider the tolerances involved. I have been phoning Yamato the day after nearly every single purchase since 2001 and I had hoped that this would have been an exception. Alas...

Jeez...you have bad luck with Yamato valks. I remember buying the vf-11b and breaking the leg off a few minutes after opening it. Shitty feeling.

Panzar Dragoon Saga damn. I've wanted that game for over 10 years. Was never able to get my hands on it for a reasonable price.

The movie had the English subs hard coded to the video image. the US DVD release looked like it was taken from the vhs masters. I'm guessing they probably either don't want to want to put any extra work into putting subs into this release. The ova dub was probably just added in as an afterthought and because it was easy enough to do with minimal effort. I'd be interested to know how good the audio of the dub is. It's probably just upmixed stereo audio.

I'm all about saving money and buying yamato stuff at a discount but part of me wonders if we are shooting ourselves in the foot? If everyone decides to wait for yamato valks to go on sale and not buy them when they first come out, will this affect yamato continuing to release product? it's kinda sad that right now that we are rewarding Bandai (myself included) by buying their valks at preorder time because we're all afraid of not getting our hands on one. Meanwhile yamato is releasing enough product for most of us to get without camping out on websites at 2 in the morning (my time) but we reward them by waiting for sales (myself included).

This year was my most expensive year ever in this hobby except maybe my first year collecting (2008) but this year was definately the most i spent on new just released product and not used stuff. This year i got the vf-25s, yf-29, vf-171ex, vf-25g, Vf-1a cavalier, Vt-1, VF-19s, vf-19f, vf-17s, vf-11b, vf-1j, vf-0a and a bunch of other valks i picked up at good hard to resist prices. Some of these were multiples as well. Looking back at the list i'm glad to see i preorder 3 yamato valks this year (vf-19f, Cavalier and VT-1). Will also get the VF-4G of course.

Have you guys gotten a payment request from nippon yassen? They usually send one 2weeks before release. I havent seen one myself.

Quick question, does anybody here know if the Hasegawa Macross stand (2pcs) set are capable of holding up the 1/60 VF-1? Preferably with strike pack

I tried that and they didn't work at all. The yamato valkyries are too heavy and there's no good way to attach the stand to the valkyrie.

However a little word of warning for Canadian residents. I was dinged with a $15.31 customs, duty and brokerage fee from UPS at the door! It was $10 alone in just brokerage fee, then $4.01 GST and an additional $1.30 in "brokerage GST" (WTF?!), so it all ended up costing $53.74cdn for five of them, or just over $10 a piece (a little shocking in the end). I wished I knew, I would have paid it anyways for these great parts, but I just hate being nickled and dimed every step of the way!

UPS is the worst for that. When i ordered my set and i saw they were the shipping company i cursed to myself. Everything that i order that is shipped through UPS gets dinged with custom, brokerage, handling and any other fees they can think of. I once ordered cd for $15 and had to pay close to $60 in fees. Like WTF? Another time a friend send me some blank tapes of old Japanese shows he recorded. Customs considered them goods bought and charged me $27 per tape. Want makes it sting worse is that there is no one to call and complain or dispute these charges. It's either pay or not get your stuff. I use USPS whenever i can to avoid this. Not sure why it's so different but it hardly ever hits customs and they don't charge any of those extra bs fees that UPS does.

I bought a set of five today. I already have 4 gundam stands. I'm hoping this is a great solution for the pricey yamato stand and paint removing flightpose stands.

Not a moment too soon. I just noticed that my vf-171 just lost a tiny dot of paint from the flightpose stand it was resting on. I guess the bandai stuff is not safe as well.

I bought this new from Japan but when i opened it up i noticed it was missing one of the front/chest cannons (see pics 2 and 3). Unfortunately when i tried to returned it to the company i bought it from they wanted me to pay shipping which was close to $100. This made me so mad that i don't even want to look at this anymore. Totally ruined this toy for me. I only opened it to look at it and take pictures. I put it right back in it's box after i was done and haven't opened it since then. I'm told modelers can easily replicated the missing part. I unfortunately don't have those skills.

That sucks. Something similar happened to me a few days ago from another seller. I was first in line for a great deal on a vf-22s. I msged him that I'd take it and might consider the other item he was selling ( not that great of a deal). He msgs back saying he sold the vf-22s to someone else but i could still have the more expensive item. Jeez thanks...

I ordered some stuff from them. After over 2 weeks of waiting for my parcel i decided to check the tracking. I was shocked to see the parcel had left HK 3 days ago (Nov 9th). I got the shipping notification on Oct 26th. WTH? I have to say i'm not impressed. I'll probably never do business with them again.

How are the subs on these japanese international releases?
