Is obvious that thing is the AFOS I rewatch Zero last week and for this I was wondering about it, there are other factors like the living machine (weapon). Remember that the AFOS has blood and it was used in Mao Nome.

The fact is I think, that this episode is to calm the spirits after so many action presented in the previous one. I foud it quite funny and depite of that leaves enough things for the main plot of the series, like the fact that Sheryl enters the pitotage course.
