  1. Dayum the 29 towers over the 27. :o I got a question for the dudes who have the 29. How does the mechanism for the 29 work to achieve the anime accurate crotch angle? Does it simply swing down and use a hinge, can it lock in place like that? Does it cheat like the 25 and 27?

They dose swing half way down this time, they are metal and it has a peg to lock to the bottom of fuelsage, much much better then 25.

Both 29 and 27 on comprasion pic are sligntly mis-transformed(didn't know until I put it on the display stand), I forgot the pull out the crotch to shorten the over height of both, but I think the height difference remain the same even I have do so...

Amazing photos as usual Swoosh. Thanks.

You mentioned that the SMS was painted...does this mean the paint is adhering to the plastics better?

I was meant to say the logo on the display stand, but for overall paint job, I feel it will stick better than the previous DX because the plastic are less glossy on the 29, but I also handle it alot more carefully this time because of the bad experience from the 25s(I still like the testure on the v2 VF-1 more, Yamato is still the king of Macross toy),

The shoulder connector area are make of metal and it will still be easily scratched... pay attention when you handle it.

  2. Just managed to buy it in Sino Center Animate for HK$1,680. They had at least one more remaining.

No poster, but I don't care about that anyway.

But flying in a few hours for a 3 week vacation, so no time to play with it until I return.

    .

some other shop has tons of stock but are all reserved, only one shop in Sino have stock for walk in buyer, ask for HKD1880  , it is just half hour after you've got yours at Animate, bought a VF27 from In's point instead...

  3. I only got the DX 25G and it has everything a poorly designed toy can have: lose joint, bad articulation, paint chip, part that keep falls off, bent rifle, missing paint on one of the knee, gaps everywhere.....

I hope they put at least all the improvement on the 29 to 25.

  4. Just a quick question: The magazine exclusive version came with the fan racer (though I'm not sure if it was a separate package or in the Angel Bird's box.) Does this Angel Bird has it?

The outer carton has the space for the Fan Racer, but the Fan Racer is not included.

    EDIT: pic added

  5. Damn that is one beautiful movie Prime toy. Thanks for the pics Swoosh! Any problems with chrome chipping off of the grill/feet in robot mode? That's the main thing I'm worried about. Also, does the gun clip into place well?

I think chipping is unavoidable in long term...

The grip of the gun is pretty short, but no problem for him to hold it at any angle. ^_^

  6. Got mine today.

    They're beautiful...but there is a problem, imo.

The white paint that is used to make the accents on the red and blue parts is REALLY soft.

On the tabs that lock the chestplate in place in battroid mode, you have to be really careful when you're transforming from plane/gerwalk mode to battroid. There's a flyer about this in the package, but it's not really clear what they're saying, sadly, and it's in Japanese.

My Max was fine, but my Millia has two nice scrapes right down the middle of the two tabs.

There are also minor paint flaws on the bottom of the heads below the visors.

Now I need to find a compatible white paint to touch that up...

Yes, that's what the flyer talking about...

  7. I wish the dome would sit a little bit higher in fightermode as it seems like it almost touches those side antennas.

Does the dome spin freely ?

Yes, the dome dose spin freely and you can adjust the height of it. ;)
