  1. Both color scheme on VF-11C and VF-11B are NOT my favorite, but the base color of the 11C would made it easier to custom... the problem is that VF-11C cost 50% more than the VF-11B in HK...

Anyone has customized their VF-11B? or C?

I want something similar to this:

  2. From the photos, it does looks like the Ver 2.0 does have more surface details, similar to the 1/72 model kit. The 1/60 that I have lack panel lines on the wing and upper fuselage area.

Even I am happy with YF-29's surface details, but I don't think it still has far less details than the model, the type of plastic they use are different and they can't put those ultra fine panel lines on it.

  3. I have to say that the fighter mode has really grown on me, especially now that I have it in person.

Did a quick panel lining and light weathering on just the fighter surfaces for now to see how it would look.

The amount of surface detail it has is really nice.

Nice work!!! Now I understand why Bandai hobby department didn't release the 1/72 model kit... ;)

  4. HEHEHE - but no, You can actually bend the knee in Tornado and Armor Packs - check out my pose posts. But you are right, you can't bend the knee on the Super Pack versions. <_<

Wow, the most stunning pose I have ever seen with the Armor Pack!!!

  5. Quick question: Is there a way to store the turret in Battroid mode? I'm guessing you can store in the same place as it goes in fighter mode but would just like confirmation.

No, because the turrets has to be deployed to allow room for wings to fold up and the canopy takes up the space for the turret's swing bar.

  6. I would like for them to come up with a solution for the interchangable hands. I hate the use of the ball joints. The weight of the gunpod forces the hands to tilt down oover time.

On the YF-29, it comes with a pair of hands with posable fingers and it dose not required to be removed during transformation. The finger joints are tight and it can hold the gunpod without any problem, even if you don't use the peg in the palm to hold it, one of the biggest improvement.

  7. For those of you who have it in hand, are there any particular points of worry or flaws you've found so far?

    Worry:

Paint job on the shouder connector

Canard, it is thin and sharp

    Flaws:

Shield keeps falling off the arm

One of the beam cannon dose not lock in place in battroid mode, retracts too easily

No locking mechanism when the beam rifle is in the "open" position

  8. Display stand of both DX VF-25F Super (Movie Color) and DX VF-25F Tornado are already painted like that, it's nothing new.

Anyway. great pictures! If not for landing gears and clear parts, fighter mode looks a lot like 1/100 model. And if a transformable toy can have similar proportion with non-transformable model, that's a good sign ^_^ .

Oh, I see, since I didn't get any DX except the 25G, very disappointed and have no interest to check out their detail, so I am quite outdated, haha. :D
