i saw the commercial and was extremely extremely excited about it. But then came the part about the AI plane that goes beserk, and it all came crashing down. I still want to see it, but my expectations are alot lower than what i had initially thought.

wow... thats quite a weird match. superman and the SDF-1. Good find!
Oh, and my Blue 2000 Celica has a SDF-1 Sticker...

Yeah, I highly recommend watching the Mini-Pato series as they go over the physics of Patlabor. You can find it in the Patlabor 3 movie box set. And it is HILARIOUS.

I think that the GBA SP was over $100 for awhile... $120? I'm not positive about that. Today at work (EB Games) we had alot of people come in and ask about it, and almost every single one flinched when I said $250. Personally I don't think its too extreme, but I'll be waiting until it drops to around $180 or 150.

Yamato toys
in Toys
While they aren't transformable, Yamato also made the 1/60 scale Q-Rau's in Miria and Max colors.

I think #10 is better by a significant margin.

I really really liked 0083, it changed my perception of Gundam. This is of course after having watched Gundam Wing... Its got great mecha, what I think is a good story, and excellent animation and soundtrack.
-
Does it remind anyone else of the dropship from Space: Above and Beyond? And the Interceptor reminds me of a Starcom toy I had with the little fighter over the main bomber.

You are by far the greatest thing to happen to macrossworld. Thanks for such a great contest.

I think MechAssault is the best mech game on the Xbox, its one of the best games for Xbox overall actually. The 2nd one is also coming out soon if you wanna check that out. Steel battalion is supposed to be awesome, Ive seen it being played, very very sim. Of course its $200 msrp if you can even find it.

I think this is a horrible decision. Whether you like the product or not has anything to do with the fact that this creates a monopoly on the single consistent best-selling video game genre. (edit: In the U.S., I forget this site is international, oops)
Coincidently, a news site had this news announcement next to an announcement about how EA workers had a shirt that complained that they were not being paid for overtime.
EA, the Walmart of Video games.

The main stuff that I kinda want to get rid of are the 1/60's that were duplicated later w/ the FAST Backs or GBP armor. Now half of my collection is sitting around in boxes gathering dust. The other problem is that you can't unload these for any money now. Who wants to buy regular 1/60's? At least, not for enough to make it worth it to me to sell...

I think it depends on the item and your attatchment to it. I bought all of the Blizzard game Special editions (WC3. Diablo II and the upcoming WoW). Those $70-80 price tags are justified because I love those games. In these cases, even if the extra stuff is stuff I'll never use, just having the "special edition" has a certain cache. But for instance I doubt I'll get the special edition Half-Life 2 because while I'm sure I'll like the game, the extra features don't justify the added cost.
It doesn't seem like there really is a disagreement over spending a little extra for special editions, more like a difference in opinion over what special editions you guys like.

I work at a EB myself, and everyone I work with, and alot of our customers are raving about it. We've sold out of our first 3 shipments, each one the day that we get em in.
-
The EB I work at hasn't sold a single copy, and its near a college campus, where anime-related titles or obscure japanese ones always do very well.
I guess another point would be that Battlecry dropped in price drastically, and that actually had pretty decent reviews. Who knows how this one will do. I give it at most 2 months before a drastic price drop.

I already preordered mine, actually, probably gonna buy 2, one for eBay and one for me. Nintendo's first party games are so good that even if the 3rd party stuff is mediocre it'll be fine.

I agree about the Ultimate T2 edition. If anything, the clean metal case looks way better than the exoskeleton on the extreme edition. The cuts of the movie are fantastic also.
With Spiderman, I don't own it, but I would get the big box with the comic etc. I mean, its only $20 or so now. And it just looks like theres more features and whatnot.

I can't believe its finally going to be out. Batman: TAS, especially the first couple seasons was a fantastic series! The new Superman and JL and Batman Beyond are really good, but they don't compare to the early episodes. They're alot darker toned and serious. Do yourself a favor and get this!

I've seen the new Megazone DVD box set for $23 at Bestbuy... this is the box that has a mousepad and only the first dvd. Sounds like a real bargain though.
-
Anybody have any information on where I can buy / preorder one?

I've bought some cheaper Yamato toys off of eBay, but I try and buy some toys from dealers just to support them. They've been valuable contributors to the site in terms of news and getting us thigns that aren't normally available to the U.S.
-
visionaries and starcom were probably my two favorites (obscure ones of course, gi joe and transformers wouldnt count).
I never had any of the toys we mentioned, but my cousins had all of them. so sad.

yeah, its one of the newest MMORPGs (think everquest or ffxi) out there

I went to wondercon yesterday, pretty fun experience. met some great artists, got some autographs, got to gawk at linda tran, good times overall.
Saw a dealer w/ a full set of 1/60s and 1/48s at pretty decent prices ($175 or so for the 1/48's). MPC VTs were going for around $50 around the show, Alphas were 70-ish.
