  1. It sucks if you run it at the higher end resolutions and with all the features turned on... if you turn off all the stuff to have it run like how it looks on the xbox, it works fine.

to be fair, most PC games run in some way on all the computers. PCs and Console gamers can't be compared anyway... very different demographic, with very different game selections.

  2. I say get a PS2, the variety of games for it is so much better and don't forget all the PS1 games you can play on it. Most of the good games out there are for all the systems. XBox exclusives are far and few between, the good ones being Ninja Gaiden, Crimson Skies, Halo/Halo2 and Dead or Alive: Extreme Beach Volleyball (jk).

  3. I cant believe I've never seen this thread. This idea is awesome, I was going to order the existing macross one in like 2 weeks, but I think I'll wait on this one.

I guess my input is that I like "classy" looking boxes... not a big fan of like the CG SDFs or VFs... (not that those arent nice)

I think the DYRL movie poster should definitely fit somewhere on the box, and somewhere put on a logo of sorts... maybe the Macross Kite?

    Q-rau

this message board needs some moderators...

and I definitely want one of these, if anything just to complete my 1/60 collection.

  4. Maybe they have the option of giving it a much higher yield warhead and just wanted the flexibiilty in design. The .5 kT yield might have been chosen because it would be strong enough to significantly damage warships, if not cripple the big 4km ones, at least significantly damage the smaller ones, while not causing friendly damage.

  5. I got quoted $40 for the Macross box 3 months back, and I also requested that he put a design on the top. So I'm not sure if he charged for that or if he was just going to add it for free.

I think some people bought the box back when the set first came out.

  6. oh I'm definitely with you on that one, I've read the books, and I think the movies are better. I mean, I'm sure people will come up and talk about the depth of the world or the characterization, but in all honesty, I find the movie characters more interesting, and the movie (slow as they are) move faster. Both good, but loved the movies.
