  1. there seems to be 2 versions of vf-11B out there by yamato. one packaged in the plane mode (the newer one??) the other in the battroid mode. Pardon my ignorance. pls help. thanks!

The one packaged in Battroid mode is the original VF-11, weak hips and all. It does not come with the FAST packs, but the FAST packs can be attached to it. The VF-11 that comes in fighter mode is the recently re-released version with FAST packs. The hips on this one are rock solid (knock on wood).

I second that! Don't worry, you didn't jinxed anything. ;)

That by far the most durable and easiest to transform valk toy

compared to my YF-21 FP (not that my YF-21 FP got wrecked or somethin').

  2. I just got both the VF-11B FP and the YF-21 FP last month & they're worth it. Beware of the loose ball joints around the hips area of the YF-21 FP! If they're loose

~ brush clear nailpolish on the ball part of the joint

~ let it dry and fit it to the joint

~ if they're too tight sand it with a fine grit sandpaper

~ test it over & over again until it's just tight enough

~ then screw back the joint together and enjoy!

    VALKGIRL MONTH!!!

    Vostok 7

To heck with valkgirl month, let's make 2004 the year of valkgirls

Ohhhh Yeahhhh! B)) By the way, cute Tomohawk Girl pic Dangaioh! B)):D

  4. It's coming, but the YF-19 is one of the most difficult VFs to design a really good, accurate toy of. Those of you who have really thought about this and studied the issue will know what I mean. The groin/front landing gear area and back of the legs/shoulder areas are real challenges. Pictures will be released as soon as Yamato is happy with the design. I trust you all want a good toy, so just be patient. Give them time to get it right rather than rush the design.

Of course something like the Q-Rau which does not transform and is a much simpler design will be finished quicker.

    Graham

I concure to that Graham! :) Anyway, I think Yamato wants to spend most of their effort in perfecting this toy, due to the fact that their previous releases were a bust.

  5. The FIX Deep Striker is basically a beautiful display piece. You can't really play with it. It's made mostly out of PVC, so some parts may deform in warm weather or over time due to its sheer weight. If you like the design a lot, it's definitely much cheaper than buying the super-expensive even larger 1/100 resin kit. Otherwise, the 1/48 would be a better value. Relatively.

drifand, you took the words right out of my mouth. :)

  6. good find on the -11B FP and the -21 FP! $100 for both is a pretty sweet deal...

I have two -11Bs (no FPs yet), two -19As, and one -21 FP, and I love them all... (even though one of my -11Bs is broke and the other is on its way)

As for the YF-19?... I'm also going to wait for the resculpt FP version....

Good thing you got a good deal. I bought both the 11B FP & the 21 FP for a combined US$200!

As for the YF-19, ditto! :D But after that, then what, a destroid monster, a Q-rau, the Mac Zero line?

  7. Hi guys, I'll be posting valkgirl pics here from now on so as to not be a post-whore or something...

anyway here's an 'Angel of Death', enjoy

Can't wait for the colored version of that! B))
