i heard that Kawamori designed this particular VF-25 to be not of any "remake" of modern aircraft. I say a good way to start would to deal away with the intakes....so much sleeker in which he intended. That's how i would do it. Plus, that type of design would actually be more aerodynamically efficient. Well in ep21 we all saw that alto made a VTO in gerwalk mode without any significant proof of any assistance/thrust from the super pack. If a Valk can fly and sustain hoving capabilities with a Pack on and without air consumption, then why not get rid of the intakes....Id rather use that extra space to build a better propulsion system. Modern-day (meaning 2008)Nuclear engines don't neccesarily need air....they need exhaust vents....and a good cooling system. You mean to tell me it's smater to cut off the intake tract when it's needed the most? It takes more energy to lift that heavy badboy and that it's in a planet-like condition, not like the vaccum of space where any object can be propelled. Please explain. I understand that whole conserve theory when the Valk is naked and in planet-like conditions....but did you ever hear a VF-1 pilot complaining about having to "refuel"? Nuclear is an abundant energy source that lasts for a very long time. Let's just throw that out the window. again...why even have intakes....apparently the 25 can VTO with the pack on just fine.....just redundant IMO i'd just love to see a schematic on how a nuclear reactor based engine produces jet like propulsion.... Well i hope that valks has the proper radiation shielding or is that anime magic? The VF-1 was made from anime magic....BTW the shielding is very,very heavy. RAH-JAH DAT!!!!!!

I sure hope that armored pack has sufficent directional boosters to keep it level. Or else that would be a really expensive falling brick. the armored pack deals away with the wings.....thus denying lift/stability. The Q-raus have vernier thrusters to keep it stable since it flys in one mode only. IMO i dont think that super/armored packs would'nt do well in fighter mode in an atmospheric condition. 1. Excesive weight...manuverabilty is significantly reduced....remember the saying...an object in motion, stays in motion..........yah know. 2. It would take more energy to propell the Valk w/Packs due to "planet-like factors" I.e. gravity,drag,turbulence etc etc. 2. That vf-25 should'nt fly with the intakes covered....unless they got some way to power the valks without having to use air...keep in mind those were the legs that lifted the Valk in ep21. I'm thinking that the armored/superpack have a different type of propulsion unit that merges with the valk....hmm I don't think there's oxygen in space let alone cutoff the intake tract. Maybe the intakes are decorative items? There are many things we can't explain, Well...that anime magic for yah.

This is why i think those "chunky monkey" valks from before were created.(or perhaps due to lack of technology). Maybe its hard for a company to lose their traits into making toys that are durable and yet compromising the design. But yet, I dont know anything else from bandai because i dont buy their toys. Anyways, I do hope that Bandai straightens out the design because they're a company that's been in the business for many years and i don't see any problems in making them accurate (the 25 is CAD designed by kawamori so i heard) Besides....(excluding kids with parents who are willing to buy a toy for $100+), who else is gonna buy the valks? I don't think Yamato intended their "toys" to be bought by kids. We, as adults, demand perfection!!!!!! About the whole 19/21 thing. Anime magic was the biggest culprit into making an actual 3D rendering. The 1/60 isn't as perfect/true to its line art is becuase yamato had to compromise things here and there in order to make the valk transform the way it does. I think they designed both valks to be "near perfect" in all modes and not just giving a biased look to just one mode. In which is F*ing uber pwnage. p.s. To those people who care for only the fighter mode....would'nt it be better if it you just bought the fighter mode model/toy? Just saying.....

Check this....Ranka Lives with Berea....because Alto dies trying to save her. Sheryl is alive but wishes she wasn't. Grace lives but everyone hates her. Leon dies in the battle Frontier with everyone in it.....Pretty awesome to me. At least the Islands are still in one piece...well most of it. Oh yeah...Luca steps up and pwns everything in his recon 25. Who needs a MDE?

All that talk about how advanced everything is....but it looks like they're stuck in the 80's. Did anyone catch the vehicles in Macross F? Maybe Shoji is paying way too much tribute. Easter Eggs?
