You are going to have a hard time to get the landing gear work properly. Hachette made the half part of the leg cover without the black stripe. On volume 98 you will get a new pair with some improvements, so the doors can open better. But I saw people still struggling for those doors to open properly. In my case, I made the corrections that I considered necessary on the unfinished covers. You will need some scrapping and sanding, so the door won’t touch the edge impeding a full opening.
Before assembling the leg completely, make sure those doors open and close well, test it with the cover in place.

Ok, it is well proven that the treatment with peroxide works.
But, will it become yellow again and worse? Even if you leave it in the dark?

He must be REALLY cold - he's all blue! Looking good. - MT
Hard to create the tinted visor effect. I’m almost done with the cockpit. Will try to remove the seam line on the canopy glass and will make a stand. Instead of keeping it in a drawer waiting for the rest, I will display it properly.

Was the stand for this kit only available through subscription?
I think the stand is part of the valkyrie, so it will be available as another volume. The stand is essential coz the valkyrie won’t be able to be displayed with the landing gears, it is too heavy. The acrylic case with wood base is through subscription and you will get it with the last volume.

That turned out great. You make it look easy but that is a challenging modification. Awesome!
Thanks! Will try to improve it more but need the pilot for reference. I’m not subscribed to Hachette, but girlfriend says I can still get the pilot by sending the issues label I bought until volume 30.

The quality of the kit is amazing. One thing that bothers me is that the color of the valkyrie is kind of a light cream.
Why did Hachette opt for that color? I would have preferred smoke white or flat white. -

I played it no problems on my LG BluRay player. I don't think the DVD it is region locked.
It is much longer version of the released commercial (what I could make out of it!)
I think it was 20 something minutes. Definitely worth if it you can find it cheap. Was fun to watch.
SYou were right! I had not even tried playing it because I saw the region 2 batch on the dvd cover. It plays fine.
it has almost the same content of the commercials plus an interview with Kawamori supervising the development, very cool.
I’m planning of completing the model. A friend of mine in Japan is buying the volumes for me each week. One question though. Without subscribing, there is no chance to get the seated pilot too? Will it be sold separately?

Anybody saw the contents of the DVD from the first box? Is it worth watching? It’s region 2, I think I still have a couple of chances to switch regions from my pc dvd player.

I got those 2 volumes and I love the details. I would probably not finish the entire valkyrie, but I would be pleased to have the whole cockpit finished and display it like the CMs gashapon.
One thing I’m afraid not getting is the pilot. It is an extra that comes by subscribing and if I’m not mistaken, it won’t be offered in local stores or online.

Same thing for me. Checked my AE account and my order is for the April batch, even though I ordered it soon after the pre-order started.

Any of the more experienced modelers around here know a way to strip the "100" tampo off the stabilizer without messing up the paint underneath?
Let's hope Bandai doesn't give us mirror images of 011, 012, and 013 later on.
Not an expert, but what I will do with mine is I will cover the “I” with black and paint a new one on the other side. It won’t look perfect, but at least not inverted.

Is someone an electrician that can help fix this Hachette flaw?
I was watching several videos of completed models and when doing the testing sequence both feet move up and down in the same direction. It should be the opposite, one goes up and the other one should go down. I guess re-programming the main board is not in my habilities.
I was planning to reverse the polarity of one of the motors, I don’t know if this is possible. The motor has four wires and goes in this order yellow orange red and black. Reversing the polarity may start the motor in the opposite direction, am I right?
