I think they all say either 'Frontier' or 'Galaxy'. So most likely these are sample logos intended for the two colony fleets.

Though it's a bit hard to read the word on the lower-left logo on the first sheet of paper.

I'd put money on it. The NUNS insignia and the fact that its named "VF-27" makes it pretty clear to me.

I am thinking more Anti-NUNS myself.

4. The VF-27 is a NUNS fighter

The VF-27 may be a NUNS fighter. Nothing definitive besides a hard to see logo to say that.

It could be that the president is chosen from the heads of the various fleets and/or colonies (including Earth in the latter, though it's technically not a colony).

We need to know more about the workings of the NUN, and what exactly prompted the switch from the UN.

Maybe it works like the Presidency of the Council of the European Union as opposed to the United States President or the Secretary-General of the United Nations?

So NUNS is the frontier itself? Are we talking about a splinter colony fleet here? That would explain why they used VF-171 and VF-25.

Or the Macross Frontier is the "Main Fleet" of the Colonial Fleets and as such, is the home of the New UN Spacy.

Show a comparison of what you are talking about because the majority see the NUN symbol.

The last shot is as clear as you can get, and that certainly looks like the NUNS insignia to me. The -27 is moving in this scene, and the design stays consistent.

You forget the dead Vajra laying on the ground by Luca that surprised Alto. I think you can assume that it was the VF-27 that killed them. I forgot who posted it, but so far I'd say the VF-27 aren't on anyone's side but their own.

I like it. Overall I think the team has done everything right with setting, music, character and plot. I love all the homages as well as all the risks it has taken. The use of Vajra and other Hindu mythology elements makes for an interesting show. I too am looking forward to learning who and/or what is controlling them, what their intentions are and what impact they will have on NUNS.

The only con I can think of is the jumpy animation and to me that isn't even that big of a negative so long as the animation does not look worse than SDF:M.

The concert footage we saw in episode 2 (where Sheryl realized Alto had her earring), was filmed by Grace, using only her eyes (and the implant). She didn't know that the implants were illegal on Frontier, and figured that Alto took a snapshot of her when her dress fell.

Well the name is apt if the VF-25, through its pilot, helps to bring peace and prosperity to NUNS and human/zent-kind. Besides Jewish, Bahá'í, Christian, Zoroastrian and Islamic all teach about messiahs (the anointed ones) and so. It isn't just regulated to Christians.
