I finally was able to get around to opening my VF-1J. For the scale it's OK. It's no replacement for a Yamato/Arcadia 1/60. There's only so much you can do going dowm in scale like this. Personally, I feel the HMR line is worth collecting. I'm not so worried about handling it and transforming it since they are lower cost. I like that we are getting enemy mecha. And, due to the price, I feel like I can collect the entire line. With the Arcadia stuff I have to be selective and pick only my most favorite(s). I'm definitely happy to have both scales in my collection.

I don't get my hopes up for any releases based on the images from the show... I'm super hyped for the HMR VF-2SS though.

Got my VF-0A two weeks ago haven't had the chance to do any editing on the first set of pictures after spending hours decaling the bird up, and watching Macross Zero to make sure I got some of the extra markings on it that did not show on the marking instructions. by the next week after wrapping up the photo shoot, I had to go to Pittsburgh to help my sick mother (sorry MacrossJunkie would have looked you up if it wasn't an emergency). Once I got back It only took me awhile to get myself together to start the editing so here are the fighter pics.

No way Jose! I'm just wanting to change out my Detolf. I've had it on display for about a year. My 1/48 VF-1S just now started to show a little yellowing. I tried to be careful about placing my Detolf away from any direct sunlight. I'm still worried about aging even in the dark corner of my formal living room. I want to keep all my holy grail toys either boxed up or up in my toy room which sees virtually no daylight and only occasionally some regular bulb light.

Realistically, I don't think I'll buy a 1/1800. I'm thinking it will be very expensive, and frankly I'm quite pleased with the 1/3000 scale.

Of course never say never. I'm mean what if it's loaded with lights and cool gimmicks. Even still I would keep both in my collection.

Special Tamashii mail-order display stands or will they come with the Regults? Wow....

It said Kit in one of the posted pictures. It also is molded in differing colors than the finished version shown at the event. I've been screaming for Arcadia to release kit's of the unassembled vf-1 toys and if this retails for under $300 consider me on board.

Are you referring to the pic in this thread of the Yamato kit poking fun that it's going down the toilet or a pic posted from the Tamashii Nations display? Just checking

What does the info card say? All the other stuff shown are all toys, but they had the specific line it falls under: Hi-Metal R, SH FigureArts, DX Chogokin, etc. The SDF-1 only has something written in Japanese.

May as well post the pics....

I'm wondering if based on "votes" (FINALLY! This is what Arcadia should have done when they came out of the rubble of Yamato)......they will decide what gets a general release and what gets bumped to websclusive? Would make good business sense...

My only worry is that they'll decide to not make something based on votes, which is a real possibility.

I know I'm still keeping my large scale versions of the HMR valks. I generally never sell any Macross, Gunbuster, or Lego toys. That has really been my collecting focus for years. The problem is there so much other cool stuff that comes up that steers me away from my dark master that is Macross.

As an individual acrylic stand display, yes. But in Figuarts form, only Sheryl and Ranka for now.

Now that it was teased that Bandai may be making a VF-2SS with SAP as part of the Hi-Metal R line, will more people be dropping their preorders of this one since it might no longer be "the only VF-2SS toy they can get".

I dropped my preorder before this tease. I mean it was teased before with the vf100 line, but Bandai seems to be doing it right this time. There seems to be strong support for the HMR line. So, maybe, it will eventually lead to a VF-2SS someday.

What's confusing? He simply mentions that it was teased that they are possible releases. Doesn't look like it's confirmed. The links look like they are simply there to give general info on the anime in case someone didn't know what Macros II is.

So where did that info come from? They made it up? It seems nothing is confirmed, but it was mentioned as a possibility according to the article.

Given that making the shoulder mechanism for the 2SS work is super tricky, I think both the VF-4 and VF-19Advance are proof Arcadia or Bandai could make it work. Just look at the basic things they aren't getting right on thos toy. Giant, ugly hinges sticking out everywhere. Something Yamato figured out how to fix on the VF-4 and further implemented on the VF-0 releases. They were mever going to get the complex parts of the 2SS correct if they were foing to so easily mess up the easy parts.

Given the recent news in the Hi-Metal R line we just may find out how Bandai will do the vf-4 and vf-2ss. I am curious to know as well.
