Hi there, I have been thinking lately if one want to perform a planetary invasion, will he use dropships to deliver the troops to the surface (like starship troopers) or bringing the entire fleet down while terrorizing the enemy ground troops (like Star Wars, geonosian battle).
If dropships are used than it would require a command carrier in the orbit for the dropships homebase, likewise it can only carried limited personel (or some military hardware).
And if we have a capital ship goes down to the surface, it could delivered more troops and war machine at the same time.
Which one do you prefer? Or a combination of it?

Those mini flagship are extremely rare, I found the Lubeck alone at 2,100 yen when I ventured to Akihabara.
This is my current collection of the LoGH battleship,

Where's the beam rifle? Did it fall when you fly it?

New pic, cortesy of Gunota:
http://members.jcom.home.ne.jp/u5purakiya/...a/miyazawa.html
The HG Murasame is shown there, not bad.
I don't recognize the Hazel, is it equipped with a booster or a gun?

ok,, found another pic of the 1/144 HG Murasame,, with this new pic of it's MA mode is not that bad anymore.
Finally someone knows how to transform it correctly unlike the previous pic which is transformed pretty much the same way as the Savior. I'm surprise they mess it up on the preious pic.
The image said the HG murasame will be released on 17 December with the price of 1,750 yen. I'll probably rewrite the HG Murasame in my shooping list .
I don't have enough space for the entire collection in my current apartement here in Tokyo, currently I have six 1/144 HG, two 1/44 sentinel no-grade, two MG zeta plus, one 1/100 VF-2SS and four Alba Creates LoGH resin imperial battleship.
Not to mention that every time I increased the size of my collection, my wife will rants all day long .
-
Damn, HG Murasame are in my shopping list in December. Now I dont think I want to buy that piece of crap unless they improve it a lot .
Even the G-Flex Murasame has better proportion in MA mode. That is not a High Grade, that is a Low Grade

I just visited Asobit in Akihabara just yesterday, mostly looking for GunPla.
May I know which store you're working in?
I saw many Macross relic in most Akihabara toy shops, I wonder if I could take some picture of them?
My holy grail? Currently not macross, but I'm desperately searching for the LoGH minature kit from Yellow Submarine .
For the Macross thingy, probably is the resin kit of the Sentinel carrier from VFX-1, I believe I saw one on display in Akihabara (forget which store).

I'm waiting for the December released HG Murasame, and then I'll paint it Titan way
I wonder if they ever released a HG or an MG Destroy, I could use one to guard my front door against unwanted salesman

The interesting thing so far, at least where I am at in the series, is everyone has alot of ships. I'm so used to seeing ships on the run, ships low on fuel, no allies anywhere, it is a different feel to see a whole fleet hammer another fleet.
With all those ships, nothing survives long enough to run low on fuel or even have a chance to make a run for it.
Not if you riding a 60 km fortress protected with liquid metal and armed with a massive x-ray cannon capable of vaporizing an entire fleet Not including 15,000 ships in the docking bay
I love the fortress vs fortress game in that series

Please tell me this is a joke or I'll start having more nightmares.....
Variable star wars, what will George Lucas do with those things ?????

Just watched epi. 50.
Not bad for an ending.

- Destiny and Impulse is trashed by Athrun, leaving Shinn crying at the care of Luna
- Legend is trashed by Freedom (Freedom got wing of lights )
- Gill is killed by Rey
- Rey is Talia 'forbidden' son?
- Minerva is trashed by Justice filght pack.

Can I add the Terminator vs T2 ?
Nevermind that , my vote goes to:
1. Isamu vs Guld vs Ghost (Macross Plus)
2. Van vs Dragon slayer squad (Vision of Escaflowne)
3. Asuka vs mas produced EVA (End of Evangelion)
4. Gunbuster vs horde of alien menace (Gunbuster)
5. Super Vandread vs harvester fleet (Vandread 2nd stage)
I maybe add more later

I got two zeta plus, the A1 and the C1, I keep the two of them in waverider mode
The hip problem only occurs in the C1, it doesn't pose any problem for the A1.

FROM GUNTOA :
Is it really gonna be shown up in the series like the Strike rouge with IWSP?
So Strike rouge goes to Mwu, and Andy got his re-colored Gaia, and the Murasame?
-
yay, its good to be back
-
The VF-2SS is the my only valk collection, and I call myself a Macross fan
-
Just watched episode 34.....wow that was shocking,
spoiler...(highlight to read)
Freedom ends in a huge nuclear explosion after impaled by Impulse. The blast could also came from the Minerva tanhauser cannon which is fired at the same time to arc-angel.

The new Doms belong to Lacus.
This I have to see....
Battle of the babes,
Haro style Dom piloted by Lacus vs Pink Zaku piloted by Meer

I just don't get it, how come Shin can get to Destory so easily?
Shouldn't Destory is all protected by I-field shields from beam weapon and light sabers? Or Stella somehow forgot to turn on the defense system when she see the Impulse?
Shinn probably knew the weakness of the barrier since he's once face the first EA mobile armor (the zamzazar I believe). Charging the destroy while its firing all the beam weapon is the only chance when the barrier is not activated, and its only a split second . The same thing when Shinn charges the Zamzazar, while he sacrificed the shield which leaves an opening for him to stab his beam saber directly at the cockpit.

I really loved how those 3 Murasame Pilots flew. Id give them mad props (if they were real) for flying that well. And that last move that one Murasame did....
Now I want some HG of those Murasames, transformable into MA mode, they really rocked in that episode, but not as great as Fukuda attempts to promoting Murasames into another model kits for Bandai since he shows the Murasames can kick some ass (As I realized, the first Gundam kill by non gundam, and by not so-famous pilot )
I got the G-Flex of the Murasame plastic model, the MA mode is better-looking compared two the Zetas kit that I owned .
-
All I did was post some cockpit and pilot positions pics of the glaug and regult, becouse Morpheus had siad somthing about them not fitting in there, but I releazied after I posted that my pics were to big, off topic and I could not get them to resize so I gave up a edited my posts. Thats all. MECH PORN
Skull One, sorry for troubling you with all the post about the glaug and regult cockpit .
Back to topic, from the pic above I'm sure that the leg went to the leg section of the Rau's. (confusing isn't it).

In the pic of Impulse vs Freedom, I noticed that Impulse beam sword is much more wider, shaped like a saber. This somehow reminds me of the hyper beam sword from Zeta and double zeta, double zeta hyper beam sword even to slice the psycho gundam mk II easily.
But that requires newtype power, while in the CE we have only Seed mode. I quess that Shinn is pretty pissed by Kira/Freedom when Stellar is killed in Destroy .
-
Most impressive .
I will follow this one closely since I also planning for making a scratchbuilt model myself .
Keep up the good work.
Planetary Invasion Methods
in Anime or Science Fiction
Posted · Edited by Morpheus
Well, the main goal is to conquer the planet without destroying it.
Well there are several methods which I know in planetary invasion.
- Dropships attack or jumptroop (starship trooper)
- Jamming, city destroyer, and then troops invasion (ID4)
- Gas probe, troop invasion via teleporter (Battlefield Earth)
- Fleet supremacy, then ascend down with a battlefortress (Macross II)
- Full scale suicidal invasion with large number of troops (Genesis climber Mospeada)
Somehow I think coming down with a large fleet of battleship should intimidate the population aka 'resistance is futile'
SPOILER
This is based from the LoGH series when they invade Phezzan and Heinessen, the population practically surrender when they see over 20,000 ships covering the sky.
