Well, I'm glad that I got rid of my RT DVDs recently, as this bit of news would have made it more difficult to sell them off later. But, that doesn't mean that I will buy this new set. What some people are saying is correct though, being told that there was no way that RT could be remastered and then remastering it after the fans have purchased the original batch is a new low for HG. I hope all this blows up in their faces.

Man, that'd take a while to download. But, it would be better than the AVI fansub file I have, 727MB, but the subs, for a very strange reason, are blue for human speach and green for Zentradi speach.

Nope, they're not all the same. One is the Animeigo set and the other is a "blechhh!" bootleg. The bootleg one is usually pretty cheap ( $40 - $70 range) and the Animeigo set usually brings at least $150. Make sure to look at pics of the product and compare it with what you see at Animego.com .

Disney now has the rights to Totoro? Cool! I can't wait for their release of it. Fox never realized what a good thing they had.

Actually, if king george just cleaned up the classic trilogy, and remixed the sound in 5.1 (6.1 for you DTS folk out there ), and then released it on DVD, I would be a happy camper. But, we all know that the main man himself knows better than we do about what we like and don't like, so I guess this is a waste of time.

Now, that has to be the best laugh I've had all day so far. P.S. It really does blow about the game not coming over here.

Same here about the Disney DVDs. The only thing wrong with them, and I mean the only thing, is that the Japanese track is never 5.1. Grrrr! Only on Mononoke was it 5.1.

If this movie had been done 20 years ago, I might have had high hopes for it. But since it is coming out today with today's mentality of making movies, I think Asimov really would roll over in his grave.

You made the right choice. I use to have ME, and it was a POS. Always crashing, taking too long to do certain tasks. Since I switched over to XP, I rarely crash anything. The OS has crashed on me once in 6 months, and that's only because I overtaxed my PC with about 8-10 running programs at once.

Well, I was just browsing the AiA webpage and found this bit of news. That's terrible. Hopefully, the water didn't do too much damage.

Yeah, I remember it. I was never able to catch all the episodes but the ones I did catch were pretty good for American Animation. I'm trying to remember how many seasons they ran ( 1? ), but I do know that the pollution angle storyline was never resolved. Too bad. They had some good ideas in there. On thing that struck me as odd, at least for a show aimed at kids, was how mature and well written some of the characters were, even the villains. Edited to add: One other freaky thing about this thread. I had been thinking myself about this show earlier today. Ooooo Wooo Ooooo!

Any word on when AiA will release Ep 3? They've had the first 2 for over 2 months now. At this rate, we'll all be dead by the time they finish the series.

If we're thinking about the same scene, then that scene is already in the DVD, along with some other tidbits.

Has anyone heard anything from Charles lately? His server has been down for a very long time now. If we have anything that the server guys might want, should we post it here before we start uploading it just to gauge responses, or should we just upload it period? While server info thread is locked, should we lock this one also, just so that everyone can know what the current status of the servers is? I would hate to search 10 pages of threads just to find out if a particular server is running.

Here's an exercise in logic for you: 1. CD burners came out and the RIAA did nothing. 2. CD-Rs came out, and were priced very low, and the RIAA did nothing. 3. MPeg creates the MP3 techonology and the RIAA did nothing. 4. Software companies created programs that would allow you to use all 3 points above in unison and the RIAA did nothing. But, once the internet exploded and all 4 points above started being used in unison, then they started doing something. Sounds perfectly logical to me.

You should listen carefully to the rest of that voice over from Idol Talk. Man, that really is pure porn, one of the best teases out there.

Anubis, is it just me, or is that Megatron shooting at Cliffjumper picture you showed us make it look like ol' Megs is driving and antique version of the Batmobile? As for the Energon Megs/Scorponok, is it me, or does it look like he was assembled out of LEGOs?

It's $80 because it will include M2:Lovers Again, as well as a bonus disc, but since none of the footage will be cleaned up, I won't be buying it anyways.

November 28, well, I dunno if I can take it until then. Oh well, better for His Hoary Froating Head to take his time and get it right, than rush it and have it come out looking horrible. B)
