Technically I wasn't -missing- the tailhook panel.. what they did was give me two right-side copies of one part.  It wasn't visible because it was packed in bot mode, and that piece was embedded in the leg so deep you'd never know it was assembled incorrectly.

I know exactly what/where you're talking about and also since it's technically a faux tailhook makes it even easier to mix'em up during assembly!

Unfortunately, Zeta's QC on this one hasn't been great, and I've seen lots of reports of missing pieces.  Mine came missing the two larger ball-jointed flaps on the back (really insignificant, and I'm not worried about them) and one of the tailhook panels between the engines (requested a replacement for that one).  I also managed to snap off one of the tiny folding fins behind he head somehow, might have been a weak molding.

Sorry to hear ... broken or missing parts is always a bummer.  Mine just arrived and is actually missing the front half of his head which means he has no face ... I sent in a request to David @ ShowZ and am hopeful.

MKT's comments about requiring lots of focus and time and parts being a bit too snugly are spot on but the reward's worth it.

It's $50. Yikes! Is that normal pricing??

Late followup ... but the box seems to indicate Hasbro might be needing to pay licensing $$$ to both Paramount Pictures and Northrop Grumman for the likenesses ... the Delorean from BTTF and the '59 Caddy from Ghostbusters are also rather pricey (perhaps the same dealio).

I surprised that the maverick transformer is not HORRIBLE. The alt mode isn’t all that bad, though they are probably taking pictures from angles that hide a lot of kibble. If the kibble is too bad, a little bit of paint will go a long way to make the alt mode “slightly” more accurate, namely the canopy.

In case anyone's curious about the underside kibble ...

Looks like Zone of Enders LEV and a Macross YF-21/VF-22 had a drunken night together.  What scale does it come out to be?  With some refinement it could, almost, fit in the Macross-verse.

Yeah a little bit for everyone in this creation ... in addition to Z.O.E. it's got a strong Frame Arms vibe to it and even a little exosuit from District 9. Scale wise it feels 1/115ish

Looks good.  Your Gerwalk mode is cool.  That will be perfect for my HMR collection as an enemy mecha.  Now I need to find a store that has it for the cheapest price.

Thanks ... gerwalk's been fun with this guy

It's crazy that this and lumitent are the two things I'm most excited for coming in in terms of things that are transformers-related.

I'd love to see more companies do stuff like this because to me it honestly shows off their engineering and design skill more than being held to pre existing characters/templates on top of plain being "fresh."

Agreed ... fresh is so refreshing right now with all endless constant remakes it seems ... have a lumitent pre-ordered as well and really looking forward to it!
