I consider it money well spent.
Ditto. Strider was well worth paying full price for.

I was hoping there would be a nice Steelbook in the US for the BD release. Doesn't look like it.

Had a question maybe someone can help with. Been setting up a home theater after moving into my new house this weekend. Got everything except 1 crucial thing picked out and that's console storage. I'd like something that alone is just gonna handle my PS3/4 Xbox One/360 consoles, controls, chargers and games are kept in a seperate area of the room. Been looking at shelves but they're either to tall, not wide enough, or not enough dividers. Any thoughts?
Is there an Ikea in your area? While I don't have one and never have used their furniture, they seem to have a lot of solutions to problems like yours.

Season 4 is off to a great start! Can't wait for the next episode already
-
Haha, that was awesome.

No reboot. A Series set earlier than 7 and Frontier would be nice.

I will watch this. I love Peanuts.

Bring it on! Love me some Jack Bauer hour.

I haven't seen the movie yet, but for those that have: Why does he still have an arm? That short sequence of "Lose the arm!" in the original really hit home on how OCP viewed human life. It would be pretty sad if they kept the arm for the remake, which would be a pretty big contrast given how the original had a specific scene discussing on losing the arm...
After you see it, I doubt the arm will bother you much at all.

Saw it. Liked it. It's a lot better than you would think. I'd really like to see a sequel after the ending.
-
Have you watched it yet? Do you have an opinion on whether or not it's worth if you already have the 2007 Blu-ray release?
The transfer is 10 times better. A major improvement on all of the released versions so far. I'm quite pleased.

Bought the new remaster of Robocop on Blu-ray on Amazon for $7.99 and got $7.50 in movie cash towards the new film. Such a deal.

Huh odd, I just got charged 8.90 (and lost my 1.10 credit) on the PSN I think for the Monthly Plus Account. Which shouldn't of happened seeing how I have year memebership already. I'll have to call PS customer service and ask about what the deal is cause if the Plus Account circulates through multiple consoles why did I get charged when I already have a 1 year?
They should not have charged you if you have the running year on that account. They will refund you if you call.

This morning, I check Amazon to see if they have any PS4s. It says they don't, but I decided to look to see what the third-party offers were. Suddenly, it says that Amazon has them in stock, Prime shipping and all, but it might take an extra day or two to process. That still seems faster than the local stores, so I click to add it to my cart. No dice, it tells me there's none in stock. Dunno if there was a glitch on the Amazon page, or if they someone sold out in the seconds it took me to try to add it to my cart, but disappointing either way.Speaking of local stores, I've talked to a few Gamestops, three Targets, and two Walmarts. None of them have actually received any new ones since before Christmas (this, despite the Target website advertising they'd have PS4s in stock the day after Christmas). I wonder if Sony will be able to maintain their 0.1 million console lead when the Xbox One is readily available and the PS4 still isn't? As I've said before, I really doubt people are just passing up the Xbox One while they wait for the PS4 to restock (I know I didn't).I wonder if the 2-22 PS4 launch in Japan has anything to do the total absence of restock?
They were in stock briefly.
On a side note, they will be in stock on Amazon on Jan 10 again. You can order one now, but they are going fast again.

I'm used to the new designs already. Only thing I don't like is his red visor. Cops should be blue.

The stores in my area are still all sold out, but my area seems like it's getting a little crazy. There's not a lot of shops (maybe because of zoning issues... I know it took almost ten years for the Walmart to get built), so some stores have been crazy crowded. My wife left for a business trip today so we went to Kohl's just to look for hats, since it's going to be in the teens where she's going. But we left when we realized the checkout line was wrapped around to the back of the store. Nothing I want that bad that I can't just get on Amazon.
That's crazy. I'd be going nuts in that store. Hate the holiday crowds. Amazon wins in that Dept.

Can't you start playing games on both systems while they're still installing?
Having played both now:
XBone- ridiculous install times anywhere from 8-20 mins
PS4 - most less than a minute before you can press start and and...well, start.
Kotaku of all places did a comparison too. Google it and see. I expected long install times last gen..not this one. So PS4 wins on that front.
Friend has Xbone, I have PS4. He has buyers remorse.
Though I do like the XBone Kinect to scan in a code to redeem a card. That is cool. Not $100 more cool, but very cool.

Well meaning at the time I couldn't access anything Playstation Plus wise on my PS4. PS3 though I got tons to get around in. Perhaps cause there isn't much of anything for the PS4 yet?
ok

There are a lot of people who like crappy things.
Hardly a crappy thing we are talking about. But yes, there are many people who love crappy things.
Especially when you have games like Bioshock Infnite, Fallout 3/Vegas, Assassin's Creed, Skyrim, Dishonored, Tomb Raider, God of War, Uncharted, Halo, and Borderlands.
Truth be told, and you can argue against it all you want, but the game/s that defined this generation of systems is the Call of Duty series. No other game has sold as well as it, or has been played more by more people on this planet than it. Everybody on this forum has at least tried it once as far as I know.
COD define a generation yes. The statement never claimed TLOU to define this gen.
Game of this Gen? Yes, that's what I said many considered to be.
They are quite different things.
In all seriousness, though, people are entitled to their own opinions, but there's simply no way I can agree that a mediocre zombie game with a decent story defined an entire 7+ year console generation.
Never asked you to. You asked if I was serious about many considering it to be.
-
Well, to each his own, but I'm not sure that I know many (if any) who'd agree with you. A great game, a Game of the Year, sure (albeit not my choice), but not an entire console generation.
It's hardly an unpopular opinion.
-
looks like it's working now. finally was able to redeem my code, but the weird thing is I got so very little access to anything.
In what context? PS4 only content or PS3/Vita content?
-
You're kidding, right? I mean, I get that it's a contender for Game of the Year (although I still think that's Bioshock Infinite), but of the whole generation? An admittedly compelling story stuck in a mediocre zombie game defined an entire console generation better than Mass Effect's sweeping space opera, or Rock Band's redefining party game, or meme-generator Portal's take on puzzle games? One of my zombie-loving friends bought a PS3 just for TLoU, and even he wouldn't call it game of this generation.
Nope

You guys get any kind of a prompt after you hit continue after entering your codes? I got squat on mine and when I go into Playstation Plus it tells me to purchase a subscription.
PS4 online is having issues being EU just launched and Black Friday deals too. Try entering your code from a PS3 or Vita and it works fine.

Is a PS3 with 250gig HDD bundled with last of us and arkham city for $200 a good deal? I never owned a PS3
It's an outstanding deal. Both games are newer, and TLOU is game of this generation for many.

Technically, most games do handicap the player in some way.
